Akemnji Ndifornyen plays Tevin, the ringleader of a criminal gang in East London, with Hammed Animashaun playing Kay and Gbemisola Ikumelo as Dominique 'Dom' Archibald. I think, putting aside the merits of Black Ops, it's a step forward for the BAME community that BAME performers are leading the way in creating TV series and starring in them as well.
I had high hopes for Black Ops, but I think this series could have run for four episodes instead of six, and kind of meandered along with pratfall after pratfall with some funny lines and some quite ordinary. Anyway, I see Black Ops has been renewed for season two, so hopefully that will pick up its game.
