Srishti Shrivastava who played the lead role of Sudha Singh in Dhavak, trained for 3 straight months to get into the shape of an athlete.
The entire village of Ishapur was very supportive throughout the entire filmmaking process. The people from the village used to get food for the entire crew, offered their homes whenever it used to get late after the shoot day and even blocked the streets for us when the take was going on.
The first scene of Dhavak was actually a 4 min continuous one take which included more than 70 people in the shot.
More than 60% of the cast in the film are actual people from the village. This decision was taken consciously by director, producer Abhishek to make the film look more rooted to the place.
The village Ishapur where the entire film shooting took place is actually director, producer Abhishek Sharma's ancestor's village.
