Synopsis

  • A man goes into his house, and finds his wife in bed with another man. The husband attacks the man with an ax.

Harry in his alien form sits in his office, and talks about how he was left alone on an ice desert on his home planet, after he had killed all his siblings. The human Harry is at his desk taking notes, and imagining that his actual therapy patient, Ben, is his alien self. When Harry asks how Ben feels, Ben says that it makes him feel vulnerable. Ben figures that Harry hasn't been listening to him, and Harry looks up from his doodling and says that he's been listening.

Liv brings Mike a gift: a Patience snow globe. She suggests that Lena is coming to town, and Mike figures that Liv is trying to get him to stay. Mike suggests that she could be a sheriff if he leaves, and tells her to get rid of her silly hobby of UFOs. He sets the snow globe on his desk.

D'Arcy and Elliot go jogging through the woods, and when they stop to walk, Elliot notices that D'Arcy is limping. She says that she was working out at the gym earlier, and Elliot tells her that maybe she should take it easy. D'Arcy says that she knows her body, and that she has to push hard for the tournament, and says that she has to prove she can still kick ass. Elliot suggests they put some snow on her knew to take the swelling down, and she snaps him to stop parenting her. Upset, he says that he's going home. Once he leaves, D'Arcy takes some pills.

In his office, Harry looks at pictures of aliens. Asta comes in and says that Ben told her that Harry wasn't listening to him, so he doesn't want to pay for his therapy. She says that she understand why Harry feelings that he's distracted since he just found out he was the Alien Baby's father, and Harry says that he's only distracted because the baby was taken away before he could find out what alien race had invaded Earth. He says that he doesn't care about the baby, and that his race doesn't care if their children die. Asta wonders how Goliath left Harry a message, and if he used a time machine. Harry says that there aren't time machines, and says that the closest thing in English is a "portal". He vaguely explains that a portal is a split in the fabric of time, and tries to explain. Asta figures that he doesn't know what he's talking about, and Harry agrees. He figures Goliath went through a portal created by an alien race, and only Alpha Draconians have an interest in humans. Harry has a picture of them, and warns that they're good at disguising themselves. He tests Asta's nostrils, saying that Draconians' nostrils are pleasure zones. Asta tells Harry that if he does it again, she'll break his nostril, and Harry figures that she's human as she storms out.

Kate comes to see Ben in his office, and says that maybe the resort isn't such a good idea because Patience is a great place. As she leaves for the gym, Ben says they're still supporting the resort. Kate comes back and disagrees, and figures that Ben is going great, and it's her so it's different because she's not for it anymore. Ben tells her that he is and nervously laughs, and they agree to disagree

Ellen treats Judy's scratched hands. D'Arcy comes in and Judy explains that her cat Kevin scratched her hands when she gave him a bath. D'Arcy asks Ellen for a refill on her pain killers, and Ellen is so surprised that D'Arcy is taking so many. Asta comes in and D'Arcy tells her that she's preparing for the qualifier. She explains that her parents are coming to see her, and they'd love to see Asta. Asta says that she'll be there. Harry comes in and says that he won't come, telling D'Arcy that she's not her fan. However, when she says they'll be churros, Harry agrees as long as D'Arcy buys him churros

D'Arcy goes after Harry and talks to him privately, asking him to give her cortisone shot before the tournament and a refill. She claims that she's a klutz and dropped the pills down the drain, and Harry suggests that if she's such a klutz, maybe she couldn't compete. He warns that pain killers can be addictive, and she says that she will get him churros if he gets her pills.

That night, Asta goes home and looks through her things for her old Team D'Arcy hat. She also finds an envelope written by Dan with a photo of herself, addressed to her mother. Asta goes to confront Dan and says that he knew where her mother was and never told her. He says that her mother doesn't live at that address and hasn't for years, and Asta says that it's still a piece of her. Maybe if Asta had found her mother, she might have wanted Asta. Dan apologizes, saying he didn't want to get Asta's hope up. She breaks into tears and walks off.

The next day, D'Arcy drives to the qualifier with Harry and Asta. D'Arcy says that Elliot probably won't be there, and Asta pursues the matter. She says that she kind of pushed Elliot away the other day, while Harry asks if Asta brought snacks. Asta gives Harry cereal and tell Harry he has to hold into his pee and should play "I Spy". He sees a UFO sign for the highway, figures a way to contact the Draconians, and tells D'Arcy to pull over or he'll pee. She does and he runs off into the nearby woods, then runs off further.

Asta shows D'Arcy the hat, and then tells her friend about the letter. It refers to Mary-Ellen Taylor, Asta's mother, and D'Arcy suggests that Asta goes to the address in Tao on the envelope. Asta figures it would be great if she found out about her mother, and wonders if her mother had no choice but to give Asta up, and has regretted it ever since. D'Arcy wonders how far Harry is going.

Harry is in a field waving his arms, and creating crop circle that are actually alien emojis. He then runs back to the car and gets in, and he claims he feels down in the grass he wasn't peeing on.

Later at the qualifier, Harry and Asta watch as D'Arcy skies down the mountain. She takes her practice run and Asta cheers her on, while Harry eats churros and tries to join in. D'Arcy skis over to them and says that her parents will be there later, and Asta goes to get D'Arcy a churro. Meanwhile, D'Arcy tells Harry that he needs to give her a cortisone shot. They go to a nearby first aid tent, and Harry reads on the Internet that cortisone shots can mask more severe damage, resulting in permanent damage. D'Arcy doesn't care, and Harry is impressed with her aggressive attitude. He gives her the show, and they hear Asta calling to them. They come out of the tent and Asta gives D'Arcy her churros will Harry claims that he's a sports fan.

D'Arcy suggests that Asta go get a cider. Once she leaves, Harry sticks his finger in D'Arcy's nose to test if she's a Draconian and steals one of her churros before leaving.

At the clinic, Ellen treats Lewis while Mike looks on. Lewis hasn't cut back on his fluids and needs treatment. Liv comes in with flowers and tells Mike that they're from Lena. Lewis knows what's going on and tells Mike that Lena has the hots for his son, and Liv says that it doesn't matter because Mike is going back to DC. His father is surprised at the news, and Mike says that it was private. Lewis says that he's part of the decision, and he's not moving anywhere. He figures that Mike is happy there, and is afraid to be happy. Mike insists that he's happy all the time, but Liv and Lewis aren't convinced.

As they get cider, Asta wonders what the Draconians like. Harry says that he took care of it, and explains about the crop circles. She wonders how they'll respond, but Harry insists that they'll respond. Asta has an idea of what to do before D'Arcy begins her next race.

They go to the house address on the envelope, and a woman answers the door. Asta asks if Mary-Ellen Taylor lives there, and the woman says that she's Mary-Ellen, much to Asta's shock. Mary invites them in and she says that she wouldn't have been a good mother because she isn't the type. She likes her life the way is of, and Mary asks if Asta has a daughter. Harry butts in and says Asta has a daughter, Jay, and Asta offers to show Mary a photo of Jay. As Asta gets the photo out, Mary gets a phone call from a man and flirts with him. A chain smoker, Mary breaks into a coughing fit, and tell the man that she'll call him in a few minutes.

Asta shows Mary the photo of Jay. May doesn't react, and just says that since Asta gave Jay up, Jay isn't Asta's daughter. Even Harry picks up on the fact that Asta is disappointed, and Asta quickly excuses themselves. The man, Marty calls back, and Asta says there was nothing more. Before they go, Harry tells Mary to smoke more.

As Harry and Asta drives away, Harry figures that Mary is just like the parents on his planet. He tries to make Asta feel better, but Asta says that it won't work and her mother doesn't care about her. Harry says that Mary is shit, and Asta laughs at his comments and cheers up.

D'Arcy begins her run and the crowd cheers as she qualified. Elliot comes out and they hug, and D'Arcy thanks him for coming. She says that her parents didn't come, and Elliot says not to worry about it, and many of the townspeople of Patience came to cheer her on, even Harry,

D'Arcy gets called to the press tent for photos. That night, Kate gives Ben some cider and comments on the resort inflated prices. Ben takes more and says that they're the best he ever had, and Kate walks off, furious with him. Harry is nearby, and Ben tells him that he felt saying what he did and figures the therapy is paying off. Harry loudly asks if Ben has stopped screaming into a pillow every morning, and Ben goes to get a donut. Judy listening, says that she screams into a pillow, and Harry goes back to staring at a fire until his eyes dry out.

Kate talks to Kayla, who says that she's done research on restraining orders and asks Kate if she's in. Kate immediately says that she's in. D'Arcy joins them and says that she's going to Vale, and thanks them all for coming. She introduces Elliot, her boyfriend, and says that cider is on her.

Later, D'Arcy, Harry, and Asta drive back. The car stops and time temporarily freezes for Asta and D'Arcy. Harry realizes that something is going on. Time unfreezes and the car starts back up, and D'Arcy drives on.

Liv takes Mike to the spot where she saw a UFO when she was 10. Mike thinks it was her imagination, but Liv insists that it was real and asks if Mike wants to sometimes see the world as magical. He talks about how Lewis changed when his wife died. Liv says that Lewis got to have the gift for a long time, and life gives them gifts but they have to be open to them. She says that she goes there in the hope that the UFOs will come back sometimes. Mike tells her that she isn't alone.

D'Arcy go to the diner with Asta, and D'Arcy figures that Asta hates Elliot and should just say it so D'Arcy can dump him and they go back to normal. Asta says that she loves Elliot and D'Arcy agrees, and wonders why Asta seems unhappy. Her friend says that she met her mother, and breaks into tears. D'Arcy goes over and hugs Asta, and Dan joins them.

Harry figures that part of parenting is emotionally protecting one's child.

At home, Kate sits with Ben on the couch.

Mike and Liv make a campfire, and look up at the sky.

Earlier when time froze, Harry got out of the car and saw a UFO overhead. He got out, and a Grey approached him and told him that it's not the Draconians on Earth, and Harry should stop sending them messages because the Greys don't want those "idiots" down there. When Harry points out that the Greys don't care about Earth, the Grey says that he's stupid. The Greys know who Harry is, and will destroy him and everyone he cares about if he gets in their way. The Grey leaves in its UFO, and Harry gets back in the car. Time unfreezes, and man in his underwear runs in front of them. D'Arcy brakes to a halt, and the man runs off. In a nearby house, the wife continues screaming in terror.
