Another Debunked Incident.
torrascotia8 May 2023
The 1990s were the peak of UFO documentaries, they relied on videos for evidence at a time when everybody wasn't walking around with high definition cameras able to take video and static pictures. So there was at least an air of mystery or potential belief there could be something in these UFO stories.

Fast forward to 2023 and a lot has changed. People no longer believe in UFO's anymore. They aren't on most peoples social radars. There are far too many other distractions and besides, as far as providing evidence. Everyone and their granny could take a video in seconds if anything unusual appeared in the skies.

As the interest in the topic declined, so did the quality of the documentaries. These days the majority of UFO docs use CGI retellings of the same old stories, long ago debunked or they simply use stock clips of space and alien related animation or video, spliced together so that the TV screen changes every 20 seconds while a guy with a deep voice tries to sound authoritative while dramatic music plays.

So at least the format of this one is slightly different, but its the same old talking heads telling the same nonsense stories.

This episode is about the Phoenix Lights, which was debunked years ago as being flares. Its odd that the show doesn't reference the work already been done on these cases?

In this case people claim they saw lights in the sky and when this was explained as flares the story changed to we saw a giant V shaped craft flying overhead.

The problem however is that despite these witnesses saying they watched this craft for over three hours there is no footage or proof apart from what some said they saw. The other issue is that the footage of lights in the sky isn't even V shaped. Its a curved line which is exactly what you would see if a plane dropped flares as it flew. Exactly as the Airforce explained. These lights then disappear from view behind a mountain as they drop. This was demonstrated by someone reviewing the video from the same spot it was taken during the daylight. But of course the believers then changed their story from the lights on the video being the UFO to claiming there was another UFO which is what they seen. Its basically never ending with these people.

For some like Nick Pope who seems to change from being a believer to a sceptic depending on the slant of the show, its a money thing. For others its simply just another practical joke to tell stories for fun, for others its an obsession.

Unfortunately there is nothing new shown in this documentary, its barely a documentary as so much of whats known about these so called cases is glossed over. Its obvious this show wants to continue the myths of these stories while giving the pretence its balanced.

The jurys out? Do your research.
