Determined to wipe the slate clean and start afresh, Anna relocates to a new town. Feeling like a fish out of water, Anna eventually moves into a cosy, government-subsidized Viennese apartment, eager to bury the past. However, why was its previous tenant anxious to leave it? As the new lodger redecorates the shabby place, alarming signs of a strange force indicate a hair-raising reality: clearly, this musty, old-fashioned flat objects to the winds of change. Will Anna ever transform the house, or will it be the other way round?
