Prison inspector Rachel Kruger is murdered,along with young Nick Owen,a man she was visiting,whose computer is stolen.Inspector Bridges tells Leo she reckons Rachel's husband Peter killed his wife and her suspected lover but Peter claims that Rachel was in danger because she was investigating sinister events at Redhill prison,particularly the mysterious death of convict James Wade,and Leo believes him. The team joins the police investigation of Redhill,where governor Cairns is less than helpful and Rachel's original source,Dr Ross,too scared to speak out. But, unbeknown to the pathologists, Bridges knows far more than she is letting on.—don @ minifie-1

After spending some time alone at a pub, Leo comes across the scene of an automobile accident. After the police arrive, he and Nikki trace the woman's movement to her home where they find another body. Dead are prisons review officer Rachel Kruger and her assistant Nick Owen. The police immediately suspect her husband, Peter Kruger, thinking that the two victims may have been having an affair. Peter however says his wife was killed because of the review she was conducting at nearby Redhill prison. Her colleague confirms they were investigating a series of strange deaths at the prison and believed some of the officers at Redhill were dealing in drugs.—garykmcd
