Such a shame
searchanddestroy-114 September 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Yes, yes, yes, such a shame that this little film was released in ONLY two theatres for all Paris and its suburbs. TWO. I had to go deep into the far suburb, right in the middle of freeways and other giant shopping centers full of the usual Saturday afternoon mad crowd. Deep into the suburb and so far from the Paris large potential audiences, who certainly were not enough motivated to watch this film.

We were only two in the theatre. TWO again.

This film is a small budget one, as you can guess, it's not a masterpiece but it's fairly done, with a very sharp editing. The actors are not at their peak but convincing enough to keep you glued to it. The lead character is also the director, writer and producer. This movie about the tragic odyssey, the journey to death for a young Muslim, a sort of Allah warrior, is poignant, gripping.

This film reminds me another feature: LA DEFRAGMENTATION, about nearly the same scheme. Not so many film talked about it.

And it was released on the 9/11....A dark hazard? Hmmmm.....

And what a surprise for me to see Samuel Le Bihan in only an extra character. Why the hell did not they give him a full character, even a small one?

Again, such a shame that this film was not released for larger audiences.

I don't quite understand.
