Shea introduces himself and Erica as "Erica B. and Rakim", a play on Eric B. & Rakim, a DJ and an MC duo out of Long Island, New York who were part of the "Golden Age of Hip-Hop" during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
The runner loses his Fentanyl patch and Lloyd says "he'll be hurting real soon", after which the runner is shown exhibiting signs of opioid withdrawal and increased pain. Fentanyl takes a few hours to take effect in the system, and would take a few hours to wear off, so the runner would not be feeling withdrawal symptoms or increased pain mere minutes after he loses his patch.
