This episode was a completely different story with thematic ties to the setting, offering the viewer an idea of Genndy's future aspirations for the show to transition into an anthology series of one offs, just like he had stated in his interviews. Is the placement of the episode enough to dismiss the high level of art and opportune potential for Primal as a brand that was infused into this episode? For me, personally, not at all. And those who intend to rate it based solely on that are going to look and feel very silly about doing so if it turns out that it ties into another episode later on this season.
