- While staging a date-night experience for Parker and Hardison at an ultra-secure free port facility, the team comes across another heist in progress and must stop it to save the life of a 13-year-old boy.
- Parker and Hardison go out on a date, and each of them ask some of their teammates help make it special. However, things go awry when the tax-free freeport that the couple decide to break into for their "date night" is being robbed by mercenaries.—Gislef
- Parker is atop a roof watching a man below on the top floor of a nearby roof. Once she's satisfied, she rappels down on a rope and confronts the man: Hardison. She's dressed for their date night, and congratulates him on setting the date up so she'd have trouble getting to it, and Hardison has a table all set up for their date.
Parker and Hardison eat at the table Hardison has set up, and they talk about Hardison going into space for two months. Parker talks about it a lot, but insists she doesn't want to talk about Hardison being away that long.
In a limo, Justin Richfield is taking his stepson Mason to a party. Mason is busy playing games on his handheld, and Justin says that he knows Mason isn't thrilled to be going to the party, but his grandmother would have wanted him to. Justin says that he's willing to be Mason's full family, and Mason talks about how he misses his grandmother so much and cries. He says that he doesn't want to go to the party and talk to people he doesn't know. Justin sympathizes and says that Mason doesn't have to talk to anyone, and all he has to do is some put in some face time and the go and do his thing. The limo drives past a car, and the man inside is watching them and makes a call.
Parker and Hardison are driving down the street, discussing what they're going to do next on their date night. The GPS reroutes them because of a traffic jam ahead, and they stop at Safe Haven Freeport, an international tax free zone and the building has tight security. Because of that it's a great place for the rich to store valuables if they don't want to pay taxes on them. Parker has heard of the security, and they discuss the impenetrable security. A millionaire, Lilian Baxter Crawford Jones, kept her valuables there and recently passed away. They're holding a viewing party for Jones at the Freeport that night, showing off a few of her favorite pieces, and Hardison figures that Parker wants to break in. Parker eagerly agrees and Hardison gets them on the guest list via his phone.
The two of them go in and blend in with the crowd. Justin with Mason looking on is talking to the guests, and then calls everyone's attention, and a bucket of ice falls over. Parker leads Hardison off during the distraction, and Mason eagerly slips away in another direction.
Parker and Hardison enter a corridor, where everything they need to break into the vault is already there. Parker is wearing a breakaway dress, and she opens the door to the elevator shaft and they take the cable up. They dance through the halls while they go to the vault, and Parker uses the suction cups they brought to hold onto the door and avoid the pressure plate in front of it. She has sent Hardison a recording of the key tone on his phone, while she cracks the dial on the lock. When he plays it back, Parker enters the number from the key tones, He steps on the pad and enters the key lock combination, and Parker cracks the dial. Lillian's collection is inside, including a T-Rex skull that she can't resist licking to taste something 150 million years old. Hardison find a rare watch, and they both admit they know the other helped set up the heist. The vault door closes and the lock on the inside doesn't work.
At the party, the man in the car and another man come in, and shoot into the air and the second man tells the guests to part their hands up and stay calm, and it's a robbery
At the bar, two days earlier, Parker explains to Breanna and Harry how she and Hardison can break into the vault. Hardison meets separately with Eliot and Sophie and tells them much the same thing. Sophie figures that Parker has been acting nervous sine Hardison is going into space, while Parker tells Breanna and Harry that Hardison needs something to remind him of how awesome it is on Earth. They both want to give their partner one big adventure to last until Hardison returns to Earth. They ask for the team's help to set it up., but it's a surprise so they can't tell anyone about it.
The rest of the team promptly tells each other about it. Sophie figures that it's romantic, and they all agree to help. Eliot makes up the dinner for the restaurant, and Sophie excuses Breanna because the latter has her own date. Sophie has done the research on Lillian, and has learned that Lillian inherited her wealth from her second husband and when he died, dedicated herself to philanthropy. Justin is holding a memorial for Lillian, and Mason will be there. Mason has access to the vault, and he's a big fan of a mobile game version of 'Spirit Ruse'. Breanna will use the app to get access to the vault security, while Sophie will make sure the skull and the watch are in the vault, and Harry and Eliot will come into play at the party
One day before the party, Mason and Justin get food from a street vendor. Breanna clones Mason's phone but accidentally bumps into him.
Hours before the party, Mason and Justin enter the vault while Breanna records the keytones from Mason phone. Meanwhile, Sophie goes to the display room and tells the workers that she's the curator and they're to put the skull in the vault rather than on display. When the owner, Donald Farmington, complains, Sophie flashes him her fake credential and he caves. She sees the workers bring in another case using the suction cups. Eliot hides the other tools, then goes into the surveillance room after having lured off the real guard and stealing his badge. The guard on duty, Jimmy, plans to stay and get the overtime/
Harry and Sophie go to the party and Harry goes under Sophie's direction and makes conversation with a woman, a barista named Kimberlee Freeman that Lillian made an executor of her will. She's studying to be a paralegal, and Harry suggests that she talk to him if she has any legal questions. Parker and Hardison walk past without noticing Harry, and Justin calls the room to order. On Sophie's signal, Harry knocks over the champagne bucket to create a distraction so Hardison and Parker can slip away. Jimmy goes on patrol, and Eliot figures there's something suspicious going on with the man. Eliot cuts the cameras but discovers someone has already done so while closing the vault door, and Jimmy comes back and hits Eliot from behind. Justin looks for Mason, while Harry rejoins Sophie and she points out the two gunmen and how they're acting suspicious. One of them, Nick, shoots his gun in the air and tells everyone to be calm.
Hardison uses his comm to contact Sophie, and admits to Parker that he had help. The man who was in the car, Bob McKinney, collects everyone's valuables. Sophie contacts Eliot, who is fighting Jimmy and says that he's busy. He takes Jimmy out and then confirms that the man pulled the lockdown switch, and tells Sophie that she'll need to get the owner's key to undo it. The owner is stuck with them, and Eliot says that he's going to find a way to cut the power off. He goes, and Jimmy wakes up.
Parker suggests they stay in the vault, and it's kind of romantic. Hardison disagrees, explaining that he was going for a fairytale romance, and notices that Parker is acting nervous. When he wants to use the vents, Parker stops him and Hardison realizes that Parker is upset about him leaving her to go into space.
At the bar, Breanna is with her date Ally, serving the food Eliot made for her. Sophie calls Breanna to help, and Breanna runs to the main room to get hot sauce. Nick and Bob say that they're going, and shove Justin back when he tries to intervene. Sophie figures that the robbers aren't going for the valuable art, and Harry suggests that it's a distraction while someone robs the vault. Sophie has Breanna find out what the most valuable things at Freeport are, and wonders who the inside man is. Harry says that Farmington was a client at his old firm, and took out massive loans to finance Freeport. Sophie sends Harry to talk to Farmington and find out, and Harry claims that he left his firm because they screwed Farmington over. Harry says that he has a client who is looking to store his valuable there, and Farmington assures him that Freeport is normally a safe place. Justin continues looking for Mason, and Sophie tells Eliot over the comms. Jimmy tackles Eliot and Eliot finally takes him out with a trashcan. Mason wanders by and Eliot tells the boy to come with him. Mason doesn't believe Eliot is a good guy and runs off, runs into a stairwell, and locks it behind him with the biometric.
Eliot slaps Jimmy awake and asks him how many men are on his team. Jimmy finally says that there are five men, and his job was to throw the lockdown switch and then meet with the others at the loading dock. Eliot knocks Jimmy unconscious again.
Breanna gets the hot sauce and tells Sophie that Mason is the most valuable thing at Freeport. She returns to Ally and tells her that her family called, then listens in as Sophie talks to Justin about why Mason would go. Justin says that Mason is collecting spirits from the app game, and Breanna figures that doesn't make sense. Breanna excuses herself with another excuse and tells Sophie that the game doesn't put spirits on private property. Sophie has Breanna pull up info on all the other guests.
Mason runs into the two remaining robbers.
Hardison wants to use the vents, but Parker complains that all he wants to do is talk about space. He asks Parker to talk to him, and she admits that she's worried about Hardison going into space. Hardison assures Parker that he'll be okay, and she accepts that. They then go into the vent and arrive in the ventilation room. The door is locked, and they hear Mason in the next-door vault complaining that they locked him in there. Parker goes to get Mason, and then he'll let them out of their room. She offers to remove another layer of her clothes if Hardison agrees, and he finally does and Parker crawls off down the vent.
Parker bursts into the vault where Mason is, and Mason says that the bad guys took the skull. The robbers smashed the biometric lock Mason could have used to get out, and Mason has a panic attack at having to go the ventilation room through the vents. He hugs Parker, saying he needs his grandmother, and a sympathetic Parker tells Mason that she understand and they were both alone in the world until they weren't. She tells Mason that he's not alone now, and he goes into the vents with her.
Breanna brings up the list of guests who could be potential inside men. Among them is Kimberlee, and sisters Bitsy and Mitzi Lambert. Harry talks to sisters, who tell him that Lillian and Justin weren't married long enough for him to inherit her wealth. Sophie talks to another suspect, Giovanni Tosca, a shady financial advisor who tried to convince Lillian to invest in cryptocurrency with him. He also confirms that Farmington is still overextended.
Nick and Bob get a radio call from their accomplices that Jimmy isn't at the dock. Farmington sets off the fire alarm, and Bob knocks him out. Justin tells Nick that he has to find Mason, and Nick slaps him unconscious. Harry wonders why the robbers would have put Mason in the vault. Eliot goes to rescue Harry and Sophie, while Breanna goes back to Ally, and finds her leaving. Breanna says that she can't tell Ally what her "family stuff" is, and admits that her last relationship ended because she got a government job, and Breanna and her "family" were sketchy. Breanna stepped away so she wouldn't lost her chance, and Ally says that Breanna should go to her family, and should call Ally tomorrow. Breanna goes back to the main room and gets a hidden set of car keys.
Breanna drives to Freeport and blocks the entrance with her. When the two robbers try to pull out in their van and can't, Breanna says that her car broke down and asks them to take a look at the engine. Once their backs are turned, Breanna tasers them both unconscious and checks the back of the van: the skull isn't there.
Parker discovers that the vent grille is stuck because air is being sucked out because the lockdown alarm triggered the fire suppression system. Hardison picks the lock on the ventilation room door. Meanwhile, Parker tells Mason that they have five minutes, and she tries to get him to calm down by asking what his favorite piece. He says the skull is, and she asks him for his shoelaces.
Hardison gets there but can't open the door from the outside, because the air being evacuated is creating a vacuum seal. While Hardison runs back to the ventilation room to access the system, Breanna listening on the comms tells Parker that she needs to find a way to break the seal. Mason has a tube in his backpack, with a substance that Parker can use as a fuse. She needs alcohol to create the explosion, and Mason directs her to the flask of alcohol Lillian hid in the vault. Parker soaks the shoelaces in alcohol and makes a fuse to ignite the polymer she put on the door. When Mason figures that if he dies he'll get to see Lillian, Parker takes the watch and tells him that what matters is how much time you spend with someone when you're together with them. Hardison, listening over the comms, is touched. He discovers that the system is locked and tells Parker, and she says that they got it. Parker ignites the fuse, and she and Mason take cover.
Nick can't make contact with his two men, Carl and Lou. Sophie steps forward and tells Nick that Carl and Lou locked Mason in the vault, and Mason is going to die and Nick will take the blame, while his employer will walk away. The explosion goes off, shaking the building, and Nick demands an explanation from Sophie. Eliot comes in and knocks Nick out, the panicked guests run out, and Justin goes to find Mason.
Justin runs to the vault, and finds the skull there. Hardison and the others arrive outside, and Hardison asks Justin how he knew Mason was in the vault. Justin claims that he has the game app, and Sophie points out that Justin doesn't have his phone and the spirits don't appear on private property. The only way a spirit could have been in the vault was if someone hacked Mason's phone to put it there. Justin wasn't in Lillian's will, but she had a survivor's clause in her will that if Mason died within thirty days of her, Justin would inherit. Justin convinced Farmington to pull the fire alarm and distract the robbers, but didn't tell him Mason was in the vault.
Justin wanted the mercenaries to steal the vault, because it was the most valuable thing in the vault and Jason needed the money as well as what he would inherit. Since Farmington told Harry earlier that a lot of the valuable are traded between clients, Justin rented another vault through a dummy corporation and had the mercenaries move the skull. Parker points out Nick and Farmington will turn on Justin when they found out he left them to take the blame. Since Justin never changed the default code on his new vault, they were able to get the skull from it and move it back to the original vault.
Sophie locks Justin in the vault, and Mason puts a post-it note on the door saying a really bad guy is inside. Eliot and Breanna join the others in the display room, and Eliot tells them that he left Farmington and the mercenaries tied up for the cops. Breanna gets a text from Ally and goes to see her in Eliot's truck. Eliot is not happy that Breanna stole his truck. However, he tells Hardison and Parker to have a good time on their date, and they leave. Sophie and Harry convince Eliot to make them something for a late-night dinner.
As they walk down the street, Hardison tells Parker that Mason will go into Social Services. Hardison made a call to them, and Mason will end up with Nana. The boy also gave Hardison the watch. Parker admits that she doesn't want Hardison to go to space, and he might need her. Hardison tells Parker that he'll always need her, and he's realized they don't need date nights to be together. Time and space mean nothing to their relationship, and they'll always be together, and they drive off.
