Amazing
lildeanever9 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The transition between sitcom and real Kevin was chilling, I think the actor did a wonderful job using just his voice to show the difference between the two worlds. It's a wonderful portrayal of a narcissist person too, especially between how they might seem at first (the sitcom part) and what they really are (the drama part). Even though it was heavily implied, we saw at last how emotionally abusive Kevin was and why Alison couldn't just leave.

Finally, I loved how the show ended showing how important and strong friendships can be, we rarely see that on screen (as most media show that romantic love interests are more important).

Not the ending I was expecting ... But Loved
tiggerden4 October 2022
The build-up to this last episode was spot on, even though it was not the "ending" I was expecting. Well deserved for "Kevin". The top Narcissistic personality I have ever had to watch. Incredibly done.

Exceptional series with a lot if twists and turns that kept me coming back for the next episode. "Future reference, that is how you write for a show." Part comedy, dark humor, drama, lots of "potty" words, It was a well rounded series that was always enjoyable to watch.

I do have one question. Why was the living room "set" - very much like the living room in "All in the Family?" Just curious.

Sad to see it go. In the end, I actually felt a bit sad for Kevin - an emotion I never thought I would have over a loathsome character. Thank You for this Series.

Well Done.

Perfect ending to this series!!

Not a spoiler, but it was fitting to see the "real" Kevin. Brilliant series!! I thoroughly enjoyed the show, such an interesting way to tell a story. I was originally a little out off by the "sitcom" parts of the show, but came to appreciate it. I truly hated every scene Kevin was in, but it was necessary for the audience to hate him. Loved seeing the friendship develop between Allison and Patty. I'm glad they didn't drag the show on for way too long, 16 episodes was just right. Annie Murphy is a great comedic and dramatic actress. Again, this final episode was a perfect and fitting ending! Bravo!

One of the best series finales

Warning: Spoilers
Throughout the two season run of the show, I would have rated it to be a slightly average show whose main saving grace for it not to be completely forgettable in a few years is it's sitcom/drama gimmick. One of the major problems I had was that I could not understand Allison's need to either kill or run away from Kevin. Simply divorce the schlub and be done with it already.

That said, the last few episodes were becoming more interesting but the last fifteen minutes were brilliant. The sudden switch from sitcom Kevin to drama Kevin was jarring and we could now see exactly what a monster he was and why Allison was trapped and emotionally abused by this man. All the kudos in the world to Eric Petersen to have that kind of range which I will be the first to admit, never thought he could have had.

Is it the end?

Warning: Spoilers
Certainly one of the most satisfying ending of a series I can think of. I was waiting for the transition from sitcom to reality from the start and they did not disappoint, the way Kevin turns from clown to terrifying abuser is scary and just show Petersen's talent, the real Kevin (James) wouldn't be able to do that even with Kubrick directing. Great episode but is it really the end or the fact we did not see his body and no one commented on him being dead leaves the door open to a third season, maybe all dark with Kevin ready to destroy the wife's life? Erinn Hayes returns
safenoe27 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
After being unceremoniously dumped after the first season of Kevin Can Wait, Erinn makes a triumphant return to the series finale of Kevin Can F Himself, which is derived in a twisted and subversive manner from Kevin Can Wait.

The ending is explosive quite literally and I only wish the series ran for a third series, or that series two ran longer than eight episodes. Anyway, Allison moves on with her life without Kevin. One thing I would have liked to have seen is Kevin winning public office, as in the earlier episodes he was running his campaign for election.

This is Peak TV and it's hard to imagine another one like this coming soon.

I never expected only two seasons or that ending.
CrimeDrama115 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I don't believe the creator of the series had a great idea on how to free Allison from Kevin, let alone make her happy. A lot of effort seemed to go into the sit-com scenes and the transitions to and from Allison's dark reality. A prequel might help because very little dialogue was spent on describing Allison's feelings about Kevin. Hopefully they handle it better than those behind "Better Call Saul".

From the start, I felt that I wouldn't even give a guy like Kevin the time of day. With his level of narcissism, I don't know why Allison waited so long. We truly see the extent of that when Allison returns and informs Kevin she wants a divorce. I was really surprised by that because why wasn't that a valid option from the beginning?

The garbage can fire on top of the coffee table leading to Kevin's death was strange. The fire scene wasn't really believable because the ceiling would have caught fire before the walls, curtains and furniture and then the living room would have been overwhelmed by fire and smoke. The scene was eerie for me because I lost a cousin named Kevin to alcoholism and he was found dead on his couch. No fire though. Allison mentions that the self-inflicted arson wasn't how she wanted to remove Kevin from her life, but...good riddance. I honestly felt a fresh start in a new city was the best thing for Allison. Prequel or sequel but not both at the same time (BCS)! Quite disappointing for a series finale.
