Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen in Long Shot (2019)

Goofs

Long Shot

Edit

Continuity

At the beginning of the first travel scene, there is an in-flight, outside shot of a four-engine, two-deck Boeing 747, the type used for Air Force One. At the end of that flight, Charlotte steps off a smaller, twin-engine Boeing 757, the type usually flown by the Secretary of State.
When Rogen is putting on his shirt and walking into the ocean in the Philippines, his pant legs are already wet before he gets to the water.
Between 23:14 and 23:28, Fred goes up the same steps three times.
When Fred walks down the stairs after getting a makeover, Charlotte looks back and spits water. Before Fred walks down, Charlotte can be seen opening the bottle but does not drink any water as she is talking.
In the scene where Charlotte lies on the floor speaking to Fred her necklace charm is sometimes on the right of her neck and sometimes in the centre, despite her not moving, and depending if the shot is close up or from above.

Factual errors

When Charlotte Field enters the dinner in Sweden the Royals are already present. The monarch always enter events such as this last, and would never be part of the greeting party.

Charlotte also does not bow her head to the monarch and consort and is actually bowed to by a Prince, not the other way around.
It's stated that Charlotte Field is the youngest US Secretary of State ever. Though her age isn't directly stated, it is implied she is 41, as Fred states she was 16 when she babysat him 25 years prior. Richard Rush served in 1817 when he was 37, and Edmund Randolph served in 1794 when he was 40.
The Secretary of State would not use Air Force One unless the President is onboard. They would use a Boeing C-32 (757) for official business.
A fall with such a speed (running out of the window), from such a height (second floor) and landing on a car then bouncing on the pavement would necessarily end in a severe polytrauma including a major head injury, likely lethal.

Revealing mistakes

The Paris News Anchor interviewing Charlotte speaks English with a false French accent (Anne Day-Jones is American) and calls Charlotte "Charlie", which French journalists would never do: they would say "Madame" or "Madame la Secrétaire d'Etat".
When the rescued U2 pilot is seen in dress uniform, he is not wearing pilot's wings, merely a skill badge unrelated to flying. All US Air Force pilots wear wings signifying their qualification and completion of training.

Anachronisms

Charlotte claims to have ridden on an elevator alone with Saddam Hussein. That could not possibly have happened after 2003, about 15 years before the events in the movie. But more likely, that would have happened under the last Democratic administration (Clinton) during Saddam's lifetime, before 2001. Charlotte would have barely been out of college.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

The sound of the mug striking the news anchor's head is too late, as is the sound of his reaction.

Errors in geography

a Montreal city bus is visible in a scene in Brooklyn.
There are no mountains whatsoever close to Stockholm (they can be seen behind the plane as it has landed in "Stockholm").
The scene which is supposed to take place in Lisbon is clearly not in Lisbon.

Plot holes

A major theme of this movie is that the American Public would not accept the Rogen-Theron coupling however the movie states over and over again that the coupling of Theron's US Sec of State and Skarsgaard's Canadian Prime Minister is perfectly OK rather than a cause for accusations of Favouritism, Collusion and even Treason! These are Politicians NOT Royalty, They don't get to date foreign Politicians.

Character error

The "box breathing" technique used by the Navy Seals isn't inhale four, exhale four. It's inhale four, hold four, exhale four, hold four.
The Canadian Prime Minister says "Vraiment super" instead of "Vraiment superbe" to tell the Secretary of State how beautiful she looks.
Referring to Beyond the Wall (2017), Charlotte says "I couldn't believe khaleesi's dragon came out as a White Walker!". Actually, Viserion was reanimated as a wight, not as a White Walker.
