Ben leaps into a boxer in Las Vegas in 1977 and discovers that he has to fight in a title match and save the boxer's older brother from suicide.

Ben leaps to flashy 1970s Las Vegas and into the body of promising young boxer Danny Hill on the eve of a big title fight. Ben and Addison discover that everything is on the line and must help Danny and his trainer/brother Daryl win the fight or lose everything. Magic, Ian, and Jenn dig into Ben's past to uncover the truth.—NBC

Ben appears in a boxing ring, and is immediately hit by his sparring partner. He tries to plead with the opposing boxer, and the coach comes over and asks Ben if he's okaying, calling him Danny. Once the brother, Daryl, confirms that Ben is okay, he tells Ben to hit the showers. Ben staggers off to the locker, and sees the poster on the wall saying that "Danny" is Danny Hill.

In the locker room, Ben looks at himself in the mirror and admires his body's physique. Addison appears and Ben asks why he didn't Leap home. She admits that she doesn't know, and they should focus on this leap. Addison figures that he's in the 70s based on the poster, and he's in Las Vegas. Addison confirms that Ben is in October 2, 1977, and Ben explains that Danny's title shot is tomorrow. She finally determines that Danny was the odds-on favorite, but was knocked out in the second round and appeared to be distracted. Addison suggests that Ben is there to find the distraction, and a woman, Angela, comes in and kisses Danny. Angela says that she isn't supposed to be there, but came to give Ben laces for his gloves.

While Angela comes up with nothing in the historical records about Angela, Daryl comes in and tells Angela that she isn't supposed to be there. He tells him to leave Ben if she loves him, so as not to distract him, and Angela says that she loves Ben so she's leaving. Once she goes, Ben tells Daryl that he was hard on Angela, and Daryl tells him that weigh-in is in an hour. Once Daryl leaves, Ben sees a photo of Danny and Daryl, and remembers that he's an only child. Addison asks him if he remembers anything else but Ben doesn't.

Ben goes out driving down the Vegas strip, and Addison confirms that Daryl is Danny's only family, since their parents died in a fire when Danny was 8. Daryl was a top-rated boxer until he was drafted to 'Nam, and never fought again. Daryl has a wife, Penny, but Addison can't find anything on her.

Benny and his opponent, Roy Gordon, weight in. Daryl says that he hates the cameras from the reporters. Roy goes first and then Ben gets on the scales. Angela is with Roy and Addison points it out, and figures that's why Danny is distracted: he's in love with the chap's girlfriend.

Back at the project, Addison tells the rest of the team what's going on. She tells Ian to bring up the footage on the original bout. He says he'll get her everything she needs, and asks Addison if she's okay. He points out that Ben could be stuck in time awhile, and Addison needs to take better care of herself. Addison insists that she can't just stop, and everything reminds her of Ben. Addison is upset that Ben doesn't remember anything, particularly hard, and she admits that she's doing the best she can to take care of herself. Ian takes her hand and tells her that they'll get through it, just as Jenn comes over and tells them that Magic wants them in his office.

Once the team gathers, Magic tells them that the Pentagon called him and said they know something is going on. Magic needs to know if he's lying long-term or short-term. Ian tells him that he's checked Ben's uploaded code and has confirmed that Ben is trying to get to a specific point in space/time. He can't tell what path Ben is trying to get from the beginning to the end, and Ben leaped to point prior to his timeline. Ben got rid of the safety protocols, allowing him to do so. Ian says that it will take 10-20 Leaps for Ben to get to the end. Addison wants to tell Ben, but Magic says that she shouldn't, since they don't know how he'll react. She says that he's still Ben, even with amnesia, and Magic agrees she should let Ben know.

In '77, Ben and Daryl are going through a casino, and Ben tells Daryl that they need to delay the fight a week or two, claiming he's not feeling well. Daryl tells him that he called in every favor he has to get Ben the fight, and says that he could lose the game if Ben doesn't fight.

Ben goes out to get their car, and calls to Addison but gets no response. Roy and his cronies confront Ben, and Roy says that he knows Ben is with Angela. Daryl pulls up in his car and tells Ben to get in, and Ben does so. As Daryl drives off, Roy calls him a "baby killer". Daryl stands out and hits Roy, and a fight breaks out. Ben finally stops him and says that they have to go. They drive back to Daryl's gym, and Daryl peers out the windows. Ben asks what Daryl meant about losing the gym. Addison comes in and says that she knows about the fight, but Ben says that it will have to wait and demands answers from Daryl. Daryl tells him that they ran out of money eight months ago, and he borrowed against the gym. He went to the loan sharks, and his wife doesn't know. Daryl says that none of it will matter when Ben loses. Ben asks what if he loses, and Daryl ignores the question and tells Ben to practice.

Addison checks the handlink and confirms that after Ben loses the fight, Danny loses the gym and commits suicide.

Back at the Project, Ian tells Music that Ben wrote the code that he's moving from point to point to build up momentum to travel back further than is normally possible. Addison storms in and tells Ian that he should be working on the floor. She says that Ziggy seems slow and missed the reason Ben is there. They go to the floor and Ian admits that he built a firewall and Ziggy's performance might be compromises. Once Magic leaves, Addison apologizes to Ian for snapping at him, and says that being a hologram isn't her strong suit. Ian suggests that she can still shadow box as a hologram, and then walks off.

Ben is in the gym sparring, and Addison shows up and says that he's looking good. Penny comes in and says that she came to see Ben rather than Daryl. She asks what's wrong with Daryl, and Ben tells her that Daryl is under pressure without mentioning losing the gym. She wishes Daryl would talk to anyone about it, and Ben says that he wins Daryl's pressures will lift. Penny says that Daryl has had bad luck since he came back from 'Nam, give Ben some food for him and Daryl, and leaves.

Ben tells Addison that it's hard on him and he cares even though he shouldn't. He asks her how he can win, and Addison points out that Ben has Danny's speed and strength. Addison says that they need to know what Roy is going to do before he does it, and tells Ben that he has a photographic memory and they should put it to use.

In the present, Magic is with Jenn and shows him the code that Ben has been working on secretly for the last six months. She figures Addison will have to live with learning Ben has been lying to her.

In the gym in '77, Addison shows Ben a hologram of the fight, and says that Roy gives up an opportunity in the second round. That's when Ben has to hit him. The fight has to play out the way it did originally to get to that point. Addison shadow boxes with Ben to get the sequence right, and they go through it again and again. She's clearly exhausted, and she says that she can't let Ben make a single mistake or they fail and he never gets home. Addison drops in exhaustion and her hologram disappears.

Addison wakes up in the project medbay with Magic at her side. He says that the doc reported that she's suffering from dehydration and exhaustion, and Addison has to wait for at least two hours. Magic tells her that they have to treat it like a marathon, not a sprint.

Ian calls Jen over to his console and tells her that he's found that someone has opened a remote link into the AI's system, which is why it's running slow. They figure that it's Janis, who used the hard drive they found at her place as a Trojan horse to access the system. The two of them report to Magic, and they figure Janis is using Ben. Ian works on severing the link.

Janis goes to see Beth with a bottle of wine as a gift and tells her that they pulled surveillance on Beth. The younger woman says that she wanted to talk to her mother, and Beth agrees over tea.

Ian says that he can reboot the system to lock out Janis but it could take a week, and they'll lose contact with Ben. Magic says that they're not doing it, and Ian reports that Janis can't do anything but access the data.

Janis has figured that Beth had her excluded from the project. Beth says that Janis would never have succeeded, and she didn't want Janis pursuing the same hopeless cause as Al did. Janis asks if Beth considered if she would succeed, and asks for all of Al's data. Beth refuses, then collapses from the drugged tea. Janis says that she did what she had to.

Addison appears to Ben and says that she's okay, and asks how it's going. Daryl comes in and asks why Ben is fighting right-handed when Danny is left-handed. When Daryl sees the food Penny brought, he snaps at Ben. Addison figures that Daryl has PTSD from his time in 'Nam. The police pull up outside, then come in and says that Daryl is under arrest for assaulting Roy's friends. With Addison's help, Ben calms Daryl down from snapping because of his PTSD. Once the police take Daryl out, Addison says that Daryl was in jail for 72 hours, during the fight. That's why Danny was distracted in the original timeline, and Ben figures that something has to change. Ben calls the police "pigs", and they take him away along with Daryl.

In jail, Addison tells Ben that they eventually get out of jail, but Daryl kills himself a few months later. Ben figures that Daryl kills himself regardless, and Addison admits that Daryl will without help. The brothers make bail, but Ben refuses to go to the fight unless Daryl promises to see a doctor. Daryl insists that he doesn't need help, and figures a doctor can't fix what he's got. He describes all the people dying that he saw in 'Nam, and doesn't know why he survived. Ben says that he needs Daryl, and insists that he cares about Daryl, not the fight. Daryl promises that he'll go and won't quit if Ben wins the fight. Ben says that he won't lose, and the two brothers bump fists. Ben and Daryl leave, and find Angela and Penny waiting for them. Angela paid their bail to get them out.

That night at the ring, Ben and Ry enter the ring. The fight begins and Ben repeats the fight he saw, and makes it through the first round. Ben takes the opening, but Roy gets up even though Addison tells Ben that it should have worked. Ziggy is still running low, and Addison tells Ben that their own. Daryl gives Ben some strategic tips, but Roy hits Ben and he goes down. Ben remembers being in bed with someone, and Addison tells him to get up. Ben does so and the referee confirms that he's okay. Before they fight, the second round ends. Addison tells Ben to fight right-handed, and Daryl agrees but warns that Ben will only get one chance before Roy catches on.

The third round begins, and Ben switches hangs. He takes down Roy and everyone cheers. Daryl tells Ben that he's going to get the help, and Ben is declares the champion of the world. Afterward, Addison finds Ben sitting alone in the wrong and shows him a projected picture of Danny and Daryl together. She says that Daryl starts the first one PTSD veteran group in the country. Addison tells Ben that it will take him a while before he gets home, and they don't know why or how many Leaps it will take. Ben considers that and then asks Addison if she'll leap with him. She does, and Ben tells her to take better care of herself, because he needs her.

Once Addison promises, Ben says that he remembered being in bed with someone. Before he can finish, Ben Leaps.

Add goes back to the house and watches 'Housewives', Ben's secret favorite show. Ian, Jenn, and Magic arrive and sit down to watch it with her, and Addison says that she loves them. Magic gets a call and steps aside to take it. It's Beth, who says that Janis came there to get some things Al had from the old project... including the original handlink with Ziggy. Magic tells the others that it's bad.

In her workshop, Janis hooks the handlink up to some equipment and waits.

Ben finds himself dressed as a woman in the bar. A man comes up to Ben and hits on him, and then invites Ben to dance. Ben looks in the bar mirror and sees that he's a woman.
