Harper?
medosayed-426863 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Okay look, harper is a badass, and I love her for that, but lemme get this right, she got out from the water pointing her gun at that guy then held him until grey arrived she shot him and then gave labor which is something very difficult and painful?? She couldn't give labor before shooting him so the only explanation that she shot him, gave labor, wrapped the toddler sat on the bed all that while pointing gun at him? Did she even secure his gun? And how she did that with all this?

If you want to empower women, at least be realistic and reasonable.

Labor itself is a difficult and painful thing, but what happened with harper was a very over reach.

Better. Some silliness and some action
jcollins-458-4153874 October 2022
This episode was better the last one. We need more Nolan training the trainee. I think the show should stick to that as a center, but the other characters are OK. The lawyer dude working I. The DA office is interesting.

James is a good character. They should expand on his talent. The guy is a good actor.

I'm still holding my breath (and my nose) about the antagonist from the S5E1. Uninteresting and boring. Please let this terrible(ly written and acted) villain disappear.

It might be a good time to bring in some new rookies and start a full training schedule. That's the heart of the show and, in my opinion, and the theme can stay there without the super exaggerated) villains.

Missing Chenford, Loving Harper and James
SourCandyOrNoCandy7 October 2022
The writers really had THE AUDACITY to give us one 71-second Chenford scene after the banger that was last week's episode? Wowwwwww. I understand that every episode can't be heavy on the interpersonal drama and character/relationship development, but I was a bit disappointed. Not gonna lie.

Also, I was really nervous that Harper's baby would end up being Donavon's since they slept together 6 episodes before she said she was 6 weeks pregnant. I was lookinggggg to see what colour it would be and I'm happy with the results lol. That would've been drama!!!!

It was really nice to see Nolan being able to practice being a training officer. I love Officer Thorsen so I really, really liked that partnership. I'd never even considered what would happen to his training when Harper went on maternity leave.

Best part of the episode?

  • "It's a girl." Period. Harper is amazing.

Worst part of the episode?

  • Was definitely missing the Chenford action.

What the actual F
diggerz03913 October 2022
I see where this series is going and I see it failing. This episode had qualities and negatives. I am still in between about the quality of this series. I definitely see some very unrealistic parts but then it goes back to its roots. So its sending mixed signals. This episode though.....watch it yourself. Please decide and see what i mean. I did enjoy it and I wont lie, I do look forward to the next episode but i do hope it doesnt go down the silly route more often. It will ruin what the show standed for when it first started. Omg i cannot believe it asks for so much characters for one episode.

The end of this episode is why I watch The Rookie!
brendasmpt5 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Pretty intense episode until the end of the show when it takes a turn towards the absurd. I love that action is always happening in this show as well as the ensemble cast of excellent men and women actors, but what Harper does at the end of the show is what makes this show ridiculously funny to me and keeps me coming back! Thanks for the great laugh this produced from me. No way what they showed could happen in real life, but isn't fantasy the reason we watch?! Well, I t's my reason for watching this show. I'm also glad Nolan is going to be training because I like his noble character & the way he portrays his character. Just sit back & enjoy the farce.

Awful just awful...
haines4032 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Just when you think it couldn't get any worse along comes another episode to ruin that thought, the new neighbours of Harper just happen to kill a guy and drag his body out into the driveway to put in a car trunk in broad daylight knowing a cop has moved in across the road and has already had their home searched because of her watching the house and the end where Officer Harper rises from the birthing pool like the scene in rambo is just about the worst thing I've ever seen but then it gets worse in a few seconds she shoots the guy has a baby cleans the baby wraps it neatly in a towel and gets onto the bed in a perfect position all before her partner climbs the stairs to the bedroom....the nonsense stuff gets in the way of any sliver of reality this show has ever produced and the actors must be getting well paid or have nothing else lined up to carry on making this crap.... I'm surprised Bailey didn't turn up in one of her 350 roles within the service I've never known a person turn up to every event doing a different role....

Wow...bad
repete5211 October 2022
This was so bad. Who wrote this? Understanding that a TV show or movie, even if "based on a true story", which this is not, usually has some dramatic license for the sake of...drama; this was bad. This was so far from realistic. The situations and actions of supposedly trained and experienced cops was ridiculously unrealistic. This was so disappointing. In several past episodes there were a number of ridiculously unrealistic situations, such as a group of rookies still in training doing advanced and complex maneuvers; leaving the country to do hostage rescues, etc, etc. This show used to be entertaining and amusing, toward the beginning. It has become unbearable to watch. I only watched this and the last several episodes, including last season because my wife wanted to watch. No more. And the actors...to participate in this, should be humiliating for them.
