Mediocre episode but live action segment HILARIOUS
jolem5327 April 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The live action segment when they're on the boat had me crying. Four guys in their 20s playing the boys. Cartman crapping blood out the boat was hilarious. That attracts beavers, you know. The 'cold sores' they all catch from sharing Diet Mountain Dew with Kenny. The four actors were great. The live action made up for a pretty lame episode otherwise. I split the difference and rate it 7. I watched the live segment five or six times in a row. Was not expecting that.

Again, overall not so funny. I was as bored as the boys were for the most part. Cartman farting and crapping his pants was funny. I love when the SP guys go for the lowbrow stuff.

I laughed

Why is this in the bottom ten? This is a pretty hilarious, standard South Park episode. The Beaver attack and live action segments were funny.

One of my absolute favorites

Warning: Spoilers
This is the first time I've ever felt the need to leave a review for anything ever because I enjoyed it so much. I'm so shocked to see to see how strongly other people dislike this episode. I absolutely loved the live action portion. It was new and unexpected.

One of my favorites

If you're a fan of NOVA-style documentaries like I am, this is one of the best parodies of that genre ever created. Eric Meyers' smooth, deadpan narration adds ironic gravitas to a literal $#!% show!

I could have lived without the re-enactment segment, but otherwise it's genius.

South parks worst episode ever
miruleyall19 April 2012
I could talk about how shallow, boring and repetitive Southpark has become on a whole since 2010 but no.

I instead want to talk about what the hell Matt Stone and Trey Parker where thinking when they came up with this episode.

First of its not funny, its not even remotely clever, interesting or stimulating in any way.

Its jokes, gags, references and themes have been done many times before by far less famous and recognized shows/people and random internet people SO MUCH BETTER.

Now lets jump into the actual episode and the 'story' Basically our four now not so funny heroes have this idea to go zip lining.

LONG STORY SHORT XD LOL (you'll get this when you watch this episode god help you) they then end up breaking the 4th wall more times then i can count, including a terrible live action scene which made no sense and felt rushed, unnecessary and honestly dragged the whole episode and the series (particularly this season) down on as a whole show.

After the excellent Cash for Gold which i personally think is one of their funniest and most clever episodes ever with so many messages about whats wrong in this crazy world that had arguably the most brutal yet funny and truthful message to bestow by the end.

Yet this episode is the most shallow SP episode i have ever seen, it absolutely rips out my heart as a SP fan to say this but i think if episodes like this become for frequent maybe it would be best for the show if it no longer existed past this season.

After 15 years they seem to be running out of idea's and frankly why should we have to put up with episodes this bad.

I wish i could get the time back i wasted waiting for this episode to load, then watching it and now writing this review about it.

0/5 They should have known better.

Reminds me of the classic South Park
julieexel3 April 2021
This episode still has me laughing years later. It reminds me a lot of the old style South Park episodes, with the ridiculous satire and not too focused on messages. I especially find the live action scene to be hilarious and unexpected.

Also, I have a feeling that Matt and Trey must have really, really hated ziplining.

Watch the first half then turn it off

Warning: Spoilers
The episode slowly turns into a live action skit with 4 people playing our main characters. They act and sound nothing like them and nothing about the skit is remotely humorous. The first part of the episode was quite funny. It perfectly replicates the horrors of being on a tour guide.

The boys being boys!

Forget that other reviewer. That other reviewer is a foolish fool. This was the best episode of the season so far, without a doubt.

Rather than giving us a message about the TSA being dumb, cash for gold being a rip off, memes, religion, or KONY, we just get a classic season 6-8 era type episode in which something from pop culture is lampooned, but the focus of the episode is on the characters of Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny just having a silly adventure, like Super Phun Time, Pee, or Good Times With Weapons.

The lack of a message is a good thing, as far too many episodes have the problem that they get their heads so far up their ... making a point that they forget to be funny. Definitely my favorite episode in quite a while.

Better than the most recent ones I have watched...
contact_charlie21 April 2012
I felt compelled to write a review, as this made me laugh more than the last few south parks I have watched (which isn't complaining - *south park is like pizza, even bad pizza is good!)

I don't live in the states, so it can be hard to place the parody - but it didn't matter for this: it was just funny.

I laughed more than I have for a while. Also, the guys on the boat - perfect for any future live action south park movie - made for a pretty good parody of itself.

(Wow like totally meta!)

*butchered (maybe) Woody Allen quote.
