The expression "black and brown men" is an extremely recent phrase. The use of "brown" to refer to Hispanic/Latino Americans (not South Asians as the word may more logically suggest) did not exist in the 2010s, let alone the 1970s.
If Danny were truly speaking with the Jack persona, he would have used the word "pavement" instead of "sidewalk," but he did at least say "shops" instead of "stores." The British actor seems to have lost his own ability to speak with much of a British accent at any time in the series, unless he's consciously trying to be an American poorly feigning an extremely subtle British accent.
