A jury in Seattle, Washington has rejected actress Junie Hoang's $1 million breach of contract lawsuit against the Internet Movie Database after the website published her real age online.
Hoang (whose legal name is Huong Hoang) filed the suit anonymously in 2011 against IMDb and parent company Amazon, but a judge dismissed Amazon as a defendant in a pre-trial hearing.
The fortysomething actress had originally falsified her year of birth on her IMDb profile, which lists a slew of minor film credits including such contemporary cinematic classics as "Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Cleaver" and "Hoodrats 2: Hoodrat Warriors." (We're living in a golden age for sequels, aren't we?)
In her lawsuit, Hoang alleged she started losing acting work after IMDb obtained and posted her true age via credit card information she had provided. IMDb countered that they had a right to publish correct information, and that Hoang could not prove...
