This finale continues the series long trend of being titled after a line from the poem "dream song 29" by John Berryman. The poem is about a man who feels the guilt of killing someone despite no one coming up missing.
The kitchen scene between Kendall, Shiv and Roman was largely improvised. The only written dialogue were the lines "a meal fit for a king" and those spoken by their mother, Caroline (played by Harriet Walter) when she walked in and asked them to be quiet.
During the board meeting the shot is polar opposite of Roman reflecting back on season 1 E6 whose side are you on.
