In for a Penny...

Psych

Continuity

When Juliet opens the door to let Frank in the surveillance truck, she is wearing a headset with boom microphone. As Frank enters, in the next shot she closes the door and is no longer wearing it. She then sits down at a console and is seen picking it up.
When Lassiter pulls up in front of the station driving the van, there is a partition behind him that blocks the view from the back, but when they remove the crew from the back there is no partition blocking the view through the windshield.
When Frank drinks his scotch, he holds it at chest height when seen from in front but at chin height when seen from behind.

Factual errors

Lassiter says the robbers wore gas masks and that three tanks of Nitrous Oxide were found. Gas masks only filter the air. Nitrous Oxide displaces oxygen and the robbers, wearing gas masks, would have been overcome by the Nitrous. A self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) would have been needed.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

The reference to the 1943 bronze penny is technically accurate, though most sources refer to it as having been struck in copper. Bronze is an alloy of copper that contains a small percentage of tin, and this correctly describes the mistakenly-struck 1943 pennies. The penny was made when the wrong planchet was placed into the machine. Only about forty 1943 copper (or bronze) pennies were struck, and only 12 to 15 have been found.

Revealing mistakes

In the Autotrader ad that is part of the show, Gus is looking for a car for Frank. The ZIP code on screen is 48220, which is for Ferndale, Michigan. The show is set in Santa Barbara, California.
