Mortimer drops his keys on the ground when the pimp drops him. After picking him up, the pimp fishes his keys out of his pocket.

Mortimer is told his death date is 345 days away. That is over 11 months. A month later, he runs into Nicole, which leaves approximately 10 months. Prior to seeing Nicole, he remarked that the death date was in September, and that the death date is "this year" (at the video place), which would indicate that the reveal date, 11 months before, would be in October of the year preceding the death date, he met Nicole in November, and thus September of "this year" is a misnomer.
