- A patient coughs up blood in slow motion (we see a small amount of blood on his chest, too)
- Blood is seen during the whole episode on gowns, gauze and surgical instruments.
- We see a bloody tray with a screw in it. The screw is in a piece of flesh. We learn, that it was stabbing a patient's heart.
- A man bleeds to death, but you can only see blood on gowns and gauze.
- We see a young boy's face being repaired. It's a bit graphic, but nothing too gory, and we only see it for 3 seconds.
- An ambulance is hit suddenly by another vehicle. It spins around, and characters in it get tossed around and fall. Later, we find out that they didn't suffer serious injuries. The female one has a cut on her head.
- A surgeon gets upset, after her patient dies.
- The doctors in the ambulance decide to get out of the vehicle, because it's too dangerous to stay in it. When they get out, they see an overturned vehicle on the road in flames (the one which hit them before). There are three bodies on the road.

- A couple finds out that they may not get the baby they wanted to adopt. There are discussions about it, which can be a little depressing.
- A surgeon wants to tell her friend (who is operating) that her husband died, but others say he shouldn't do it until she's done. He tells her lies, but you can clearly see that he is struggling.
