It would be highly unlikely that a firearm would make it through the US TSA and the Norwegian customs undetected. It would also be unlikely the two mobsters would try to take it through.
When Jerry goes to the party after the immigration conference to ask the presenter about Frank/Johnny, he mentions how inspiring the story was and where his nightclub is located. However, the story was not told in English, so there is no way Jerry could have understood the story or known he was talking about a nightclub.
