After introducing us to his childhood as Neil Bogatz, Bogart states that "By 1961 I had changed my name again to Neil Scott." Yet, this is the first time in his life that Bogart changes his name in the film.
The scene in which the young Neil exits the malt shop was supposedly in 1951. He walks past a 1958 Cadillac and stands in front of a 51 or 52 Chevy with 55/56 Chevy hubcaps.
KISS is shown performing "Shout It Out Loud" in a 1974 event. This song wasn't released until 1976 on the Destroyer album.
It's implied that KISS' Alive! album wasn't released until much later in that band's career after many failed tours and releases. In actuality, Alive! was released in 1975, after the band had only put out three studio albums, and it's largely the record credited with saving Casablanca Records from debt.
An airliner from the Airbus A320 family can be seen in the film in a 1970s scene. The A320 family of aircraft first flew in 1984.
Early on in the film, there is footage of three KISS fans standing next to KISS' bus. One of the fans is wearing a KISS Army t-shirt, however, much later in the film, the idea of creating the KISS Army is discussed. The KISS Army was not in existence when the fan was wearing the KISS Army t-shirt.
