This enmity between Jimmy and Manny makes no sense to me. When they met, Jimmy demanded cash in advance from Manny, and there was no good reason for that demand. Manny accepted the terms, which also made no sense to me, as Manny was obviously not a man to be trifled with for no reason. Jimmy could have simply sent Richard to Philadelphia with the liquor for Manny and made it a COD arrangement. Why didn't he?
The way the debt was forced into being was senseless as Jimmy had a huge stock of liquor that he needed to sell. I suppose that it's way of showing that Jimmy is out of his depth as a boss, which he is, and that he still makes stupid mistakes as he did when he robbed Abe's liquor shipment with Al. The whole impasse story with Manny seems off to me, maybe because I'm impressed with William Forsythe's portrayal of Manny. It means death for Manny, obviously. I just kind of hate to see the end of Manny approaching since he obviously isn't going to let Jimmy get away with the disrespectful treatment he's giving Manny.
