The photographer does not believe that it is Genghiss first time modeling and compliments Genghis throughout the entire photo shoot. A delighted Genghis says, I feel like a star.
While Nai, Lori and Genghis take in the experience of the makeover, Raj gives himself a reality check and comments, All good things must come to an end and the reality is that only three people are going to make it to the final three.
ALL TIME HIGH
Marion greets the final four at Asias premier climbing gym, Camp 5 at One Utama Shopping Centre where the final challenge of the competition, a rock climbing challenge, will take place. She says, I do hope you are not afraid of heights.
Raj, as it turns out, is afraid of heights and shares, I started to feel a bit light-headed.
Marion explains the dynamics of the final challenge, informing the final four that they will have to climb a 14-metre wall, anchored down on the ground by a safety officer. A yellow flag awaits them at the top of the wall and the first person to grab the yellow flag will win the challenge. Prior the challenge, the final four have to answer a question in 30 seconds which ultimately shape up to their chances of winning the challenge.
With Nai winning the past few individual challenges, Lori, after hearing about the question, breathes a sigh of relief and says, There is a small glimmer of hope that maybe someone other than Nai may have a chance of winning this challenge.
Write down the total combined number of kilos lost since the start of the competition, 12 weeks ago. That includes all the 16 contestants including yourselves who have all participated in the weigh in since the beginning, reveals Marion.
Genghis, stunned by the question, comments, Who has that kind of memory? Even Raj, the human calculator would have a hard time.
Lori reveals her answer to be 584 kg, followed by Nai who writes a whopping 1350kg, then Raj with a safe 250kg and lastly Genghis who writes 500 kg. Marion reveals the answer to be 382kg, which means Genghis, will receive a 20 second head start for the challenge followed by Raj, Lori and finally, Nai.
Nai, undaunted by going last, confidently adds, I dont really care if I lose that quiz challenge because I am confident in my rock climbing.
Genghis kick starts the challenge with a 20 second lead with Raj and Lori tailing closely behind. Nai falls off the wall within seconds proving to struggle for the first time, much to Marions surprise.
Genghis slips off the wall, putting Raj in first place. However, it is not long before Nai catches up and Raj eventually falls off leaving Nai to win the individual challenge yet again.
Nai receives a TRX suspension trainer and a 3-day getaway in Phuket. With this, Marion tells the contestants that she will see them at the most pivotal weigh in of the season.
FINAL GUIDANCE
Back at the mansion, Kristy and Dave tell the final four that they will soon be going out to the real world, Dave and I will not be there to hold your hand and spoon feed you anymore, says Kristy. She reinforces the importance of the biggestloserclub.asia and asks that they think of it as their online personal trainer.
THE LOSE BIG PROGRAM
The final four head to the Fitness First Platinum at Empire Subang Jaya. Dave informs them that their target calorie burn for the Lose Big session will be 1000 calories. He emphasizes the fundamentals of the Lose Big Program by stating, work with partners, people who have the same goals as you so thats what were going to you right now.
At the end of the vigorous training session, Dave comments, This is just the beginning of a whole new life for all the contestants.
A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE
At the final training session with Kristy and Dave, Dave tells the contestants that they are going to do something special for the last session. Kristy informs the final four that they will have to carry backpacks each carrying the amount of weight lost in kilograms since they started this competition. So Genghis, you have 44kg in that backpack that youll have to carry, says Kristy.
Genghis tries to get out of it by joking back, Actually it is 44 pounds.
Raj, Nai and Lori have 39kg, 37kg and 27kg to carry respectively.
The contestants embark on their walk with Kriisty and Dave by their side spurring them on. Each of them reflect on their journey throughout this competition.
Raj comments, Carrying 39kg on my back, Im amazed that my spine didnt snap in half. The weight was eating me away. Every step was harder than running on the treadmill at speed 12 or something.
Genghis reflects on his journey, I feel like Im carrying a little Genghis. I lost 44kg in less than three months. Its unbelievable. In the early weeks I really hated last chance training and now Im actually doing it. This journey has taught me so many things. Just how to live life the right way. I feel like I have a second lease of life. I really appreciate this and Im very thankful.
All the pain was definitely worth it to be the last woman standing. I always expected to be here and came with the intension of making it to the finals, says an appreciative Lori who then adds with a hint of nervousness, One more weigh in to go.
A contemplative Nai shares, This journey is definitely the highlight of my life. From the beginning, I never thought I would make it this far. Having accomplished all this, its a great feeling and there is nothing more than I would want than to win this.
Raj looks back on his progress throughout the competition, I remember coming here looking like a ball. I only had one thing in mind and that was to survive in this house as long as I can, play the game as it is still a competition. He remembers the elimination of his fellow blue team members, Losing members one by one was upsetting.
Determined to make it to the finals, Raj adds, Im not just doing this for myself, Im doing this for the entire blue team. I pray to god I can be in the final three.
FINALE DECIDERS
Tensions run high as the contestants make their way for the last weigh in before the finale. Tonight, one of them will barely miss out on being in the finale by getting eliminated.
The last woman standing, Lori is up first. She loses a disappointing kilo, which puts her total weight loss percentage to 1.11%.
Up next at the mercy of the scale is Nai who manages to lose an astounding 6kg, which brings his weight loss percentage at 6%. Confident that he would not be falling below the yellow line, he hopes the worst for Raj and remarks, I still hate him and I still want him out.
Genghis cheers Nai on and goes up next. He loses a decent 3kg bringing his weight loss percentage to 2.54%.
It seems as though the end of the road is near for Raj as he shares, Seeing Genghis in second place makes me extremely nervous. I feel like Im going to go up on that scale and lose 2kg, fall below the yellow line and see a huge grin on Nai and Genghiss face.
Raj steps up on the scale and in an unexpected twist, loses a life-saving 5kg bringing his weight loss percentage to 4.76%. An elated Raj shouts for joy and like Nai, makes a smug remark, Slowly but surely whittling away the former red team members feels good.
Falling below the yellow line for the first time is a demoralized Genghis, It really hurts because I want to be in control of my own destiny but what can I do.
It will be a tough decision for Nai as he has to vote for one of his former teammates.
THE LAST THREE STANDING
Tensions run high at the most important elimination of the competition, and Raj is first to reveal his vote.
He says, The person I am voting for is slightly two faced. With everyone being so competitive, sometimes the want to win makes people do things they dont want to do. I have nothing personal against this person. My vote is for Genghis.
Marion reminds the final four that should there be a tie in the votes, the person with the lowest weight loss percentage for that week, Lori, will be the one going home.
Nai is up next, At the end of the day I prefer not to make decisions and I let the numbers do the talking. I voted for Lori, he reveals.
With this, Loris journey at The Biggest Loser ends and she bids her fellow contestants farewell.
ON THEIR OWN
Back at the mansion, Kristy greets Genghis with a life size printout of him when he weighed 162kg. Kristy admits to Genghis that he was a nightmare to work with.
Genghis for me has been one of the most difficult contestants to train so Im actually going to give myself a pat on the back because I have done a great job, she says.
Genghis brings Kristy to tears by thanking her profusely for saving his life, Kristy has been my saviour, trainer, confidant and conscience. She really spent a lot of time and investment in me and I thank her very much from the bottom of my heart, he even adds, If I do have a daughter, I might call her Kristy.
As Genghis leaves, Kristy comments that Genghis is a dark horse in the competition and may even be one to beat.
Dave waits for Raj back at the mansion and greets him with his life size printout of him at 144kg. Raj comments that the picture makes him look drunk and thanks Dave for making him feel happier, healthier and physically fitter.
Having thanked Dave, Raj shares, Reality is reality. You have to go back and face the real world on your own. You cannot have somebody holding your hand and running your life for you. Its about time to take your destiny into your own hands.
Finally, Kristy and Nai meet back at the mansion. Kristy congratulates him and comments that he looks fantastic.
I work this hard for myself, for the red team and for you, he replies.
Kristy comments, If there is one person who deserves to be in the final three it definitely is Nai. They both reflect on the importance of weight loss and talk about Nais father whom he lost to obesity related issues.
Genghis, Raj and Nai pack their bags and head home while reflecting on their incredible journey. In the words of Genghis, All great journeys come to and end. We need to have an end to have a new beginning and although this chapter of my life is over, it doesnt mean my journey is.
The three finalists will meet again, face-to-face at the finale and crowning of The Biggest Loser Asia 2.
