A smartly written and intelligently executed movie by Shridhar Shikaripura on humanity. Crime anthologies are always fun to watch because we expect some new stuff, innovative storytelling and lots of surprises. Dharani Mandala is a perfect fit for that. Dharani Mandala is fantastic watch for you, you can give it a watch for excellent filmmaking. Dharani Mandala is a story of random people in a big city and with dreams and accidently their lives become interlinked. Actually, this crossover hints a dangerous ride all the time, and it works too, it provides a happy ending to almost all the characters as per the justification in cinematic Liberty. There are few things in the film which could have been avoided to keep it more crispy towards the crime zone. Nevertheless, Dharani Mandala still has a lot to offer in its own zone. It has smartly written script with gripping screenplay and brilliant direction of Shridhar Shikaripura. Little more care and it would have been a classic film but its still very much worthy. It's a terrific movie to watch.

Must watch hyperlink drama

Good concept, worst execution!

Hats off to the director, I think he didn't visualize the movie himself well before directing. Naveen Shankar is tried to be mass hero in certain scenes. Ashani Shetty is bubbly at the start, but doesn't have much scope in the movie.

I was like when will the movie finish in the theater. There is no connectivity in the screenplay. Some good aierial shots of Bangalore in the movie. Don't waste watching this movie in time.

I think Naveen didn't get a better movie, so he took up this after so long gap. Ashani also doesn't make an impact. Lot of drugs in the movie, makes it not suitable to kids to watch.

Excellent hyperlink thriller

A Kannada hyperlink thriller with an excellent first half and a second half which is almost as good but a bit weighed down by a little Kannada commercial film tropes.

Some of the links are a bit far-fetched but convincing enough and the scenes are not as over the top as usual commercial films in Kannada. Cinematography, Music, Editing departments have done a great job in making this movie a cutting edge one. And performances of lead actors are a feast to watch and makes us realise how underutilized they are.

While on the whole, it is an excellent thriller giving insight into a lot of social problems also, overall a good watch.

An excellent screenplay and technical brilliance

Shridhar Shikaripura a debutant (Which is hard to believe) has delivered an exciting movie watching experience. Dharani Mandala Madhyadolage is a kind of movie which doesn't fall even for a minute (Not even in the songs).

The movie starts off with different characters and different lives moves into something unexpected. Though it has too many characters, Shridhar hasn't wasted time in introductions. The story webs around us from frame one.

No character is wasted, each and every character contributes something to the plot. The story travels at a phase, that if a scene is missed we might lose track. The planning and execution of each scene is a master class of Shridhar's screenplay.

The suspense that travels along with the plot keeps the audience hooked, even a one minute song might make us restless- an edge of the seat thriller. Shridhar's brilliant yet again takes him high in the climax, the end of the movie might give a confident booster because of the message it delivers.

Technical aspects: Technically the movie is strong, thought eh technicians are almost new. Each and every frame of his is real. We might encounter any of it in our real life.

Music has taken the movie to another extent. Though he proves in songs the BGM works great time. Editing is tight packed and has done an exceptional job in bringing Shridhar's screenplay to life.

Above all its Shridhar Shikaripura's who has done ample of hard work which is evident throughout. His screenplay, the characters, the technical brilliance everything is a clear indication of his passion towards cinema. Though this is his debut he has taken over some experienced directors with his work for sure. Sandalwood has got a brilliant director.

Cast performance: Cast has worked great time for the movie. On the whole Dharani Mandala Madhyadolage is a must watch for any moviegoer. It will stay in the hearts as one of the best screenplays ever.

A meritful attempt

The movie is good for Kannada industry definitely. The casting was good and a big experiment that gave some positive results.

The first half of the movie starts well, script tried well to establish all the characters in the first half and concentrates on the story. But, the second half is power packed and gets the best of writing supported by performances and everyone have done justice to their roles.

Overall, this movie has a potential to change the industry norms and standards if taken in right sense and elevate the movie making art. Full credit has to be given to Shridhar Shikaripura, the director.

Dharani mandala madhyadolage is a must watch. It's a brilliant film and the hardwork put in every aspect of the movie be it direction, script,casting, performance, cinematography, background score is very much visible and it connects well with the audience. The story is quite intriguing and the director has done a fab job. Every actor has done complete justice to character he/she is playing.

The movie is quite different and is a perfect blend of emotions, action and comedy which makes it quite entertaining and at the same time is also successful in sending a very strong message to the viewers.

Regional cinema at it's best

Wow!what an experience which compelled me into writing this..lets start from the beginning..

when i was told that this was an experimental movie in Kannada, i was really circumspect because let me I've seen a lot of hyperlink movies for many years now & whenever someone tries something "different" more often it turns out to be awful.

But this one's one of those movies which stands for all the great things about this great medium.it shows,reflects,teaches & above all it inspires.

Hats off to the director for pulling this off with a difficult subject,ensemble cast & an amazing way of story telling.

If u really are curious to know the story,it intertwines different stories which are very distinct on their own from the beginning to the end. Just the characters meet very briefly & u keep wondering through the 1st half if there is any connection at all. And boy there is! Its not just topical but a much deeper connection & the director keeps it ticking without a single dull moment with great élan.

Its the triumph of human spirit that touches u in the second half, the superbly crafted climax takes ur breath away.

This movie asserts everyone gets a second chance to redeem yourself no matter how terrible ur mistakes are.its just up to u to embrace it. It uses such dramatic situations to prove this that often makes u tearful and yet every character is so real that one can identify oneself in at least one of them.this is what makes this movie hit the jackpot.

The acting is fine by all leading stars, this is contemporary movie making at its best & its prudent for us to embrace it & encourage such movie makers who make us proud to be Indians!!

Ellara Kathe Mele Kelage!!!

One of the best multi narrational films in recent time. Haven't seen such type of genre after Ulidavaru Kandanthe in Kannada. Direction is good, the stories are human and complex and despite their melodramatic or sometimes tragic outcome, they still leave you with a shade of hope - maybe because the humanity that the author uses to create his characters. It's very thought-provoking too and has real immediacy, as well as hard-hitting emotional power, vast emotional range and is uniquely twisted. What I saw is thousand's of people life. That's why it's so magic for me. I would recommend watching it.

Excellent piece of work

Goes over the top occasionally but this Breathtaking ride is very well acceralated. I never thought a film like this would provide such a humanly dramatic segments through anthology. Usually, we don't get to see such films or better say such ideas because the risk is there and we don't have many filmmakers who can dare to take it on. Dharani Mandala is a fine breathtaking experience, no doubts on that. But, does it fulfill all the criterias of a Classic film? Definitely, It has a few little things that needed to be better, not in experiment but in mainstream flow. It delivers everything in experiments. Anyways, excluding that i don't think there is anything incorrect about it. Dharani Mandala is very good attempt and well delivered, that matters the most. In the film, the lives of some different people get intertwined when they are in a crisis. It has too many characters to name so it's not possible to talk about individuals but to end it in short i would say all the actors are decent to good. Some of them are used impeccably in the screenplay, it handles a lot of chaos. The narrative goes over the top while making the mainstream drama look high-voltage but overall it ends up on a nice note. Shridhar Shikaripura gives it that much needed acceleration in the second half and Dharani Mandala wins the race in time.

Life isn't black and white

This is a movie that everyone must and should watch, I would say one of the best in the year 2022, and my comparison is not only with other Kannada movies, but The director has literally shaken the stereotype of movies, he have very skilfully, and at the same time very artfully portrayed a snapshot of life, with all the associated greys in between. It's hard to say if this movie is a comedy or a tragedy or a celebration, but then again, isn't life just the same?

Special mention to the cast. Very rarely do we come across such talents showcasing there extremes. I would say they has lived the role rather than simply performing it during the movie. The subtle moves and gestures throughout the film have not gaudy element nor a bit of overacting. It is every bit as real as watching a real life event unfold in front of our eyes.

Don't miss this movie. The director has managed to convey a very important social message in an elegant and simple manner. I won't say what it is, let it spoil the suspense of the movie for you.

I really wanted to recommend this one for movie addicts. Dharani Mandala Madhyagolage is Bold - Intense - sensitive - dark - funny - exciting - thrilling - rip roaring - reflection of today's eco social demand. Simple yet Powerful. The movie flows like a waterfall with lots of emotions packed in a 2 hr drama directed by Shridhar Shikaripura. No wonder and no doubt it's earning praise all over and definitely one of the best Kannada movies of all time. An ode to un conventional film making with an exemplary performance from the debut lead actors. They will make you feel cry ,laugh, angry, thrill and at last those feel good goose bumps for sure. Don't miss this un conventional social emotional yet fun ride which encompasses ensemble cast who has delivered to perfection. Loved it enjoyed it. Rated as must watch.

Awesome flick to watch in theatre with a popcorn

Story itself is so powerful which depicts the notion which of people in metro cities, whatever be the reason for anyone's experience the metro cities have been a boon for our country. Some want to be around for sake of money and some stay out for their goodness. No one wish to give and take from what the city has, metro cities have been giving so much purpose and interesting life to everyone which all can't have it in their very own native side. Remember the catch:- it's the people who make a place beautiful. Talking about the film, it's starts so real and best of camera work shown. Wonderfully crafted story having significance for each character a city has everywhere. Story moves with present common problems a city has, and revolving around it. Director made an interesting connection of drugs, kiddnaping, sentiments and love in the city which ends to a happy note of telling people that do what is right and things will have a positive change for sure in the end.

Best flick with good story, and camera work with an excellent screenplay.

Cinematic excellence

'Dharani Mandala' is undoubtedly, a carefully crafted work, flowing through deep emotional,tensed and dramatic moments. The thrilling plot similar to some of Hollywood's, the movie thrills with parallels weaved from different angles of people in a city. Well worked screenplay, excellent direction, good apt background music and outstanding performance from some good actors all make this movie a heartwarming ride. Kudos!!

Still, it's a shock that veterans like who delivered a class, subtle and marvelous performance in this movie are still underrated or partially utilized.

Movies like these only make Kannada film industry alive. A low budget film without any pomp or extravaganza. But the performance by the all the actors in the movie is strong and realistic. Actually they lived as the characters, devoid of being cinematic.

This movie starts like any hyperlink movie. Only few people can guess the real plot. The twist comes near the end of the movie and it's really heartwarming. But this movie also glaringly reflects the grim reality of the society which forces them to extremes and unimaginable situations. A real gem of a movie, Must watch is the verdict for this one.

There are very few great movies releasing nowadays for which I feel compelled to rate and write reviews here. And this is one of them.

This movie scores 10/10 in almost any every criteria you want to judge it in and unlike any movie, this manages to excite you the whole 2 hours which will make you smile and also awe in wonder !

Love the suspenseful 1st half and racy 2nd half and Epic climax giving goosebumps !

Its also a movie that can make you realise the importance of humanity with and feel proud to live in this society!

This turned out to be one of the best movies of the year coming out like a last ball six in December.

In spite of getting good reviews, I mostly put off watching hyperlink films, coz I doubt whether it would appeal to my kids. This was a surprise indeed, and we were all hooked from start to end.

With a non-studded star cast, the movie moves intelligently from frame to frame. We surmise the characters would be interlinked at some point, but it was an unexpected points.

Dharani Mandala Madhyadolage gives a realistic portrayal on a metropolitan city and the opinions of it's people. Normally, we feel secure in the safe confines of our local hometowns and villages and dread going to a metro without contacts. We are apprehensive to the lurking dangers in public transport, night time alleys and basically of people themselves. All this still holds true, but the punchline of the movie gives a much needed insight here." We cannot blame the city for the doings of the inhabitants, so if we expect help from others, we need to initiate offering help from our side."

Each character is etched artistically, without wasting much time itself was refreshing. Kudos to the director, technicians and the whole team on an impeccable job.

An interwining story with suspense and drama

What would you answer when I ask you how do you feel about a huge, metro city? It depends on whether you're staying in that city or not. If you're staying in the city, then it depends on your experiences (negative or positive whatever). This movie tries to show how people's lives are interconnected in some way and morality issues faced by innocent people during unexpected circumstances.

The movie has too many characters. How these people face situations due to someone else's actions and what are they going to do about it is the rest of the story. The director doesn't reveal the names of many characters. He wants to tell the story is not about the characters but it's the city that plays a key role.

The screenplay and editing play key roles in keeping the audience engaged.

If you're a fan of Alejandro inaurittu's movies like amores perros, Babel.. , you will surely like this one.

And 2nd half takes another level... So if any one miss dis film means u wont b a film lover....
