Writing this as I watch it
darkmomo-8183110 July 2022
The husband sucks. The friends suck. ESPECIALLY the friends. How are you encouraging the husband to be upset about a woman talking to her FRIEND??? And then she says "I would freak out too." Are all straight people just...this messed up or am I missing something? Not to mention the friend didn't even like the husband. Both of them were saying she was spending too much time with him and hating on him. This is the strangest start to a movie.

Saw who the culprit was from the beginning so it was predictable. Also what's with the whole "hit them once and then run and fumble"? SMASH UNTIL YOU SEE THE WHITE MEAT!

Ending was meh but this was very entertaining and played in the background while I worked so it gets another star! (I still think the friends suck and helped perpetuate her naivety about him). But all in all, not bad.

Control Freaks
lavatch17 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Angela (Angie) West loves her work. But her controlling husband Keith is always trying to keep her on a short leash. Now that Angie is pregnant, Keith wants Angie to give up her job and stay at home.

While growing up, Keith felt that his father was Superman. Now, Keith wants to play that role for his family. Unfortunately, he is always hovering over Angie, who feels the claustrophobia from a control freak. The situation becomes worse when a stalker enters Angie's life. She had a romantic affair with Tyler Watson in college. They are now back in communication with Tyler in Michigan texting Angie in Minnesota.

It is fortunate for Angie that the Minneapolis police department was not entirely "defunded." Detective Layla McCoy nearly becomes Angie's personal bodyguard against the stalker. Eventually, Angie will name her little Layla after the quick-thinking detective.

The film unfortunately lapsed into comedy with a nearly farcical sequence at the end set in a cabin. While in a remote location with no cell phone service, Angie has been tied to her birthing bed by her tormentor, who believes that all that is needed for the delivery is "a bucket and towels." A mad chase ensues with the very pregnant Angie attempting to outrun her pursuer.

Finally, Detective McCoy arrives to arrest the perp for unlawful imprisonment and identity theft. Apparently, stalkers may become so obsessed that they stop seeing the world clearly. When that happens, the only hope lies with heroines like Layla McCoy, a true Superwoman.

Oh boy ...

While I figure out the plot in the first 10 minutes, the characters seem to remain oblivious until the end. SMH Pittyful.

Also: I'm pretty sure the villain in this story is a Relublican.

There's a stalker on the loose!!!
Chartreuse121 June 2022
Angela and Keith West have been trying to have a baby and she finally gets pregnant. They're both excited. That is until Angela's old boyfriend, Tyler, texts her after the news gets on social media and won't stop texting her as if he's watching her every move and Keith gets jealous. How does Angela stop him? You will have to tune in. Good script and good acting. Definitely recommend!!!

Lol prom gown
jmgimbel12 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
What adult wears a prom gown to their big work event? Hello, the 90's r calling & want their fashion back.

Her toxic controlling husband is sending every red flag trope, it's laughable, zero suspense as obvious who the true stalker is. Her odd friends boss her around constantly as if a toddler and hate her husband, its so weird. Zero non hetero cast. The lead actor is maybe in her first role as seemed so gullible and silly. Her fake pregnancy belly is just a pillow & worn too low. Actually it moves around. I know it's Lifetime but the budget was non existent, clearly. These used to be occasional fun but the quality is just so suj-par these days, I can't.

This one renews our faith somewhat in the new LMN movies.
hoops-534362 July 2022
Overall, we have been pretty disappointed with the 2022 set of movies on LMN. This one, however, is a pleasant surprise. Paniz Zade did a wonderful job in the female lead. Emotions, facial and body language, and her delivery (pun intended) were all well above average. Hope we get to see more of her. We suspected the husband pretty much all along but we kept having nagging doubts. Only weakness in the plot was the husband- just didn't seem real. Having said that, the movie is certainly one to be watched. We loved that the movie broke two of LMN's standards- this time: first, the lead female did not fall into the sack with a guy she only met ten minutes ago and, two, the police were actually helpful in this film. Two nice touches that we appreciated.

A light and fun thriller. I'm over being permanenly scarred by movies.

Warning: Spoilers
To be honest I have my expectations set way low for all Lifetime movies but this one surprised me! It was fun and exciting to watch. The way the director jumped back and fourth in the timeline had me holding onto my popcorn bowl waiting in suspense to see how excactly the dumpster fire of our hero's life got started.

Spoiler alert: there were no evil twins or phroggers but never trust someone who takes you to a cabin with no running water! What a MONSTER!

Everyone in the movie was pretty sus and this movie is based on a TRUE STORY so the takeaway here is TRUST NO ONE EVER.

A fun movie - I recommend it to anyone needing something to help fill their quiet evening.
