If Your In Your Late 30s Like Me You'll Probably Get A Kick Out Of This!

Absolutely hilarious film that doesn't take itself too seriously but has a message.

John is a man who is out for blood to kill millennials but I won't spoil why, you'll have to watch yourself.

I am not sure that everyone will find this funny but being someone who had a childhood and teenage years before social media I have seen the decline in society in general which is poked at a lot in this film.

If you are an old school action and comedy fan I think you will appreciate this, sure it's animation but I think everyone will relate to it in some way no matter what generation you are from.

First new film in a while which has made me actually laugh. I recommend!

Generational Gaps Become Gruesome Gashes With Minimum Giggles or Guffaws

This could've been better. This should've been better. I'm glad it is a movie and not a series. I would not watch it any further beyond this if it were a series. I wouldn't have watched this movie in its entirety were it not only a sweet one hour and ten minutes of run time.

As it was it slugged along like the mushiness of mashed avocado.

Is it funny?

At times. I laughed out loud at least twice.

The animation is outdated. Silly, 80's, 90's Saturday morning style. It'd be funnier maybe if the protagonist, this bitter old dude was the old style but everything else in 2015 Chicagoland (the setting) was more three dimensional animation.

But that'd prolly require bigger than Tubi has, who produced this film.

The targets are obvious and easy: Avocado Toast (of course!), Social Media, Styles and Trends, Participation Trophies, etc.

It just seems like this could've kept the blessedly short run time but still gone for it in some way. Showed us something new on the subject.

It's worth the hour. Go ahead and check it out.

But it is longer than a meme or a gif.

Can you handle that?

Probably not if you were born after 1995.

Or is it '96-'97?

Fun!

Warning: Spoilers
John (Chris Parnell, who should be in more movies) has lost everything. His wife (Tiffany Morgan; who before she dies reminds him that she would also like to be known as mother), his son Kyle (John Reynolds) and his beloved '71 muscle car. Oh yeah -- his newspaper is also bought out by Chaz AF (Julio Torrez) and turned into a website. John is immediately fired. And then he's knocked off a bridge by influencer Jak-E Wak-E (Carmen Christopher) to what looks like his death.

But nope. He survives in the woods and becomes stronger, remembering who did this to him. Now, he's going to become the Millenial Killer.

If you liked the Tubi original Pastacolypse, this shares much of the same creative team. It was directed by Jason Shwartz and written by Sam Taggart. It feels like they had several seasons of material and suddenly worked it all into this movie, including a team of millennial supervillains, a new romance for John with a former co-worker who is Generation X, John meeting a millennial he actually likes (but not for long) and tons of violence.

I laughed a few times during this and if you have an open mind, you probably will too.
