The Night Shift
Prismark109 April 2023
I recently remarked to my wife. Every other person I seem to meet these days, is a covid denying conspiracy theorist. At least it keeps David Icke rolling in the money.

After a shooting incident at an electrical department store. Wicky has toc lean up the mess. He does get an offer of a generous discount on the blood splattered electrical goods by the manageress.

Wicky has the misfortune to meet Kai (Asim Chaudhry) a shelf stacker who works the night shift. Kai claims he would not had got shot. He had a plan, hide inside one of the freezers.

Frequently calling Wicky a sheep, Wicky is not impressed by Kai's wild conspiracy theories.

There seems to be a lot of Kai's about these days. All that was missing was a red pill from this episode.

It would have been funnier when Wicky hid in the freezer, he got stuck. After all Greg Davies is very tall.

Both Davies and Chaudhry bounce off each other well.

Classic episode.

Wicky is tasked with clearing up a grizzly scene at an Electronics shop, there he encounters night worker Kai, who's something of a conspiracy theorist, as well as the controlling, unpleasant store manager.

Perhaps the best episode of Series two so far, I just loved the scenes between Kai and Wicky, this was an awesome study of two characters.

Wicky really does have the ability to adapt to anyone, for someone who initially seems a bit gruff and rude, he always manages to win people over.

Kai was a terrific character, brilliantly played by Asim Chaudhry, he really does have wonderful talent for comedy, it's worth remember that people like him are out there.

Loved it!

9/10.
