Lucy Worsley goes all the way back to 1348, to one of England's most devastating times, The Black Death, a plague that spread very quickly, destroying almost half of The Country's population.
The highlight of the series, this was by far the most interesting and well realised episode so far.
I think most people have an awareness, a small knowledge about The Black Death, The Bubonic Plague etc, but here Lucy goes into white some detail, educating as well as entertaining.
I knew of The bubonic plague, I had absolutely no idea of the pneumonic plague, you wonder if there were any possible links to recent events.
I always associated the plague with rats, but I hadn't considered the other forms of transmission, chilling.
Credit where it's due, this was fascinating.
9/10.
