Having escaped the war in Syria, beautiful, talented young woman, is pursued by Janbaz Tarin, a jealous psychopathic man, who treated her brutally, before ultimately killing her, and her mother.
It's one of those episodes that made me feel so incredibly angry, that poor young woman, after all that she must have seen, and endured in Syria, given a chance in The UK of happiness, only to have it all taken away by one man.
The rules of Islamic marriage, from what I can see heavily favour the man in the relationship, for a woman to escape a relationship, let alone an abusive one, it must be the most intimidating ordeal, it seems to at odds with British values. Tarin used a very warped, mixed up view of so called religion to control Raneem.
Janbaz Tarin, an economic migrant, with zero morals, sickening behaviour, should he not have faced deportation for lying about his age? He should not have been allowed within a mile of that poor young woman.
Powerful information from Raneem's Aunt, I have such sympathy for her family.
It's a sickening story.
8/10.
