not too bad, not too sensational

Kallan was a peculiar watch, not too bad, not too sensational. It didn't transport us into the story but rather left us as observers

DELICIOUS

---You could tell the cinematographers worked really hard to deliver great quality. We loved the variety of angles, giving a good perspective of the narrative

-We appreciated that Kallan was based on the true incidents of hunters who were deprived of their generational trade and left without means of income.

The movie was nicely narrated and had a quiet ambiance that opened us to the simple life of these hunters and their helplessness to make ends meet.

The dialogues and morals sent a high note on the danger of greed, value of loyalty, and need to help one another.

The final scene displaying chaos in the forest was a great illustration of the futility of chasing wealth

BLAND

---Sadly, the elephant in the room was none other than the weak dubbing...

-The CGI effects really took away from the authenticity of the narrative as they were too detectable

---Karu Pazhaniappan, being the lead actor, didn't take ownership of the movie, he didn't move or convince us with his performance, he was just there.
