The ending was heartbreaking. After so much time with 13... I hope she lives her life happily until the end.

OMG I'll take Taub Over The New Doctor

Warning: Spoilers
Yeech... She can't act or emote. Her backstory, I suppose, is to make her seem less milquetoast than she really is. It's not working. And, frankly no one would grab her azz.

Wasn't the biggest fan of 13, but when she's on, it does how bad the female casting currently is. I'm willing to trade Taub and the annoying Masters over both of them.

Hell, bring back the annoying Cameron even.

The case wasn't particularly interesting and the actor isn't doing a good job. He always does this overly masculine thing. He's gay in real life and I think he's always done this when he was closeted to hide that fact fearing for his career (which is sad), but it subdues his acting and gives it a sameness no matter the character he's playing.

Not the best episode, because House needs someone to play against and the two weak new team members isn't it.

Watch It With the Subtitles On!

I'm convinced that the writers cast this new Asian doctor just to annoy us viewers. Her lack of human expression (amplified by the fact that her glasses obscure any chance of facial expression); her monotone mumbling (subtitles on!), and her boring intonation are simply abrasive, compared to the usually excellent casting on this series. The story in this episode is interesting enough, and House is apparently trying to get back into his PPTH groove, but the oozing chancre that is Dr. Kato simply overshadows, and ultimately ruins, any chance for this show to be taken seriously at this point.

going downhill
Jim-Eadon2 November 2011
The female doctors do their best, but the writing for them is bad, and there is simply no fun. This is bad writing and the most boring that house has ever been. The female doctors casting is a failure, the small one is incredibly annoying, a squeaking nuisance. House himself is entertaining, and the prison break guy as flat as ever. There was a dull subplot involving Wilson, who is not an interesting character any more. The show is running out of steam pretty fast. That the show is watchable at all is down to Laurie, but this is putting a lot of strain on keeping the episode together. 5/10 for the show. - 0/10 for the assistants.
