A more tame episode where the rescue is too fast

Warning: Spoilers
This episode tries to play up the disaster and danger via the overacting which kinda goes against the point of such documentaries. They use A LOT of shouting and screams in the episode even in situations where they only sense imagined danger. There is a scene where they walk some meters away from the plane crash in the jungle and "get lost". Instead of showing us how this situation could become dangerous they have several scenes of these 2 people panicking for a fairly long time before they figure out that they need to shout out so that the passengers lying near the plane can call back and show them the way.

I get that some of these "danger" situations are not all dangerous as such and that you still need to show them somehow. But overacting and overediting just makes this all seem silly. In other episodes you have a more mature and calm storytelling where the focus is on surviving.

Another such example is that they hear some animal near the plane crash at night. Yet again the editing shows a huge panther that they supposedly imagine in their head. And they, of course, all start screaming and shouting. This could be shown in a good way where you let the screams be low audio. Instead they overplay it and just flash fast editing scenes of hectic people on screen. It looks cheap and childish.

The issue is centered around how fast they are saved. They stay there for 24 hours and they don't really need to do any surviving as such so there are no great plans or ideas to show here. Often in poorer countries there is little to no rescue. But here Red Cross finds them pretty fast. These Western companies know what to do in such cases.

Also, there is an issue here of only 3 people doing the talking head interviews. Usually they get most of the survivors on the show to add to the story. There is a blonde woman here who is kinda just an NPC character with no voice, no plans and basically no dialogue. Which is a huge shame as especially women surviving such ordeals is a huge plus for me so I wanted to see her as a person with a life and background story. But we only get 3 background stories and we don't even get any info about how their injuries healed even though a collapsed lung is played up in the episode.

More and more of these stories in our modern day are set very close to other people capable of helping. The long survival stories are mostly in the 60's and before that. Before the Western world basically made it possible to get help anywhere.

Not interesting

Warning: Spoilers
This one is probably the most boring episode I've seen. There's a lot of overacting and yelling. The rescue comes within 24 hours and they don't have to do anything. But what ruins it most is the real people in the interviews who come across as quite spoilt and not very likeable. They talk about the situation being the 'pilots fault' and 'they shouldn't be here'. It wasn't anyones fault.
