Pretty good crime thriller

The story is about an honest and dedicated police officer who is accused of murder recently .

Few days ago, a robbery took place at Mattew's house and the robbers killed the whole family. However, the police son is happend to be that house at that time when it happened. He is murdered too. He set out on a unofficial mission to find culprits and finny found them.

Some days passed, a businessman is murdered and the police officer's footprints and car is seen at that place.

His son's murdered is found then why he did that? What is his motive behind? Is he somehow connected to the murder??

Good Movie,Debut Director Unni Govindraj...Good attempt...bit slow on 1st part but kept suspense till last part of the movie....right on the Money....

Nice plot but poor casting

The movie steadily moves forward and has a nice plot. But casting Suraj for such type of roles was unnecessary. May be someone like Tovino would have given that extra input needed for the charecter. You can easily make out the way Suraj investigates and questions the suspects during the case. Suraj is not fit for main police lead hero role. Supporting roles like alencier, Sudeesh did good job. Also I felt climax was a bit hurried. One of the scene has resemblance with Tamil movie Ayan of surya. I felt Background score could have been a bit more intense. But still it's worth a watch. I would give it 7/10 rating.

More emotional and less thriller

The movie is more on emotional quote and decent on murder mystery. The Initial scenes and revelation of murder points are bit shocking. Movie starts and goes in good pace, later it muddles more on emotional trauma...

The investigation aspects and mystery was good and it was quite engaging till end. Suraj shines quite well in this character, this character was tailer made for him.

The middle portion and climax are looked like bit dragged one. Other than that this is worth the watch.

A Good watch but the plot twist seems a little overused

As usual, Heaven is another gem from this industry which seems to deliver one success after the other. In case you have watched Venjaramoodu's earlier work, his new Avatar is almost unrecognizable. Unfortunately, some of his work in Heaven seems too close to Jana Gana Mana and at times, you feel the scenes are switchable between both movies. Again more a perspective issue rather than a criticism.

The main motive of the antagonist seems to confuse me and basically I am not able to understand how that situation was created which is a major plot hole for me. The frozen body fooling an experienced pathologist is another plot hole, but I guess you can subvert some amount of logic there.

Otherwise, the movie is riveting, the crimes justified to an extent for both parties (plot hole apart). There is a coldness in the role expected of Deepak Parambol which he just couldn't deliver and a slightly better performer would have killed it.

The major cast is impressive but I wish Sudev Nair had more to do and his presence almost seems like a editing goof up.

Watch it and you won't regret it.

An another thrilling movie!

This movie has got a decent story line, never gets bored anywhere. A must one time watch movie! Every person in this movie needs to be appreciated. And like always, Suraj has given a exquisite performance.

Ultimately, this was a thrilling movie experience.

Stuck on slo-mo mode?!

The storyline is good but they really could've shown the entire film in an hour. It is mind numbingly slow. Like there are barely few scenes in the entire movie that was not shot in slow motion. The unnecessary lag leads to disengagement and confusion rather than building up suspense. Which is actually sad because it would've been much more entertaining if it had picked up the pace just a bit. :)

A very clean thriller!

A very clean thriller with a good storyline and very engaging screenplay and unpredictable climax. Suraj is very well fits into the role of Peter 👏. It doesn't seem like from a debutant director . A relief for Malayalam cinema from physco path villain . Gopi sundar bgm was the a little dragging on first half but he nailed it on the second half . Good star cast except the one . Good one ! Go for it 👍

Boring

Main complaint about this movie is that it is not at all entertaining. So many things happening in the movie and it all adds to the confusion. Acting, Bgm, Cinematography are all okay, even then a thriller movie should have a thrilling story, which this movie lacks. Not recommended.

A decent thrilling movie experience

The best murder investigation movie by suraj venjaramoodu. Sudev nair has done a great job in his police role in this movie. Hope he get more roles in malayalam movies as he is an underrated actor.

A real life experiences by a real life cop is nicely portrayed.

The film with all the right intentions fails to impress owing to weak characterisation, plot loopholes, and missing of some key plot points to keep the viewer intriguing.

The emotional connect with Suraj's character and his son lack depth, and that lack of depth is evident in Suraj's relation with his mother. This eventually puts a lot of burden on the viewer to stay engrossed to understand the mystery behind all those killings.

Secondly, plot loop holes looked conveniently placing characters and evidences to move the plot forward, I understand the plot has to move forward, but there could have been better ways to make this happen. Especially the climax is dealt to recreate Drishyam magic and it was an disastrous attempt.

The culprit's motive to avenge was dealt with no serious thought behind it. The performance of Deepak was a huge letdown, there seems to be an issue with casting as well, Suraj's mother as well was a poor cast.

We have seen Suraj in such emotional graph playing similar characters, so there was nothing to brag about his skills. He has given yet another stellar controlled performance, but I would suggest if he reads this, to shift gear, it's getting more of a repetition or a pattern.

Overall, it's a smart move by the makers to release it on OTT.

So many mistakes in the story the murderer will kill but they can't find his finger prints on the spot and they can't investigate the suspicious person which he is in there custody simply going on movie with logic less.

I was surprised how much I loved this movie. I don't usually like thriller movies but this one had me hooked from the start! It is a very captivating and suspenseful movie that I would definetly recommend! I think they did an excellent job of making sure the suspense was always present. It's definitely one of the best thrillers I've seen in recent history!

Dont watch. Time waste Suraj doesn't deserve to be an actor. He is fit for tgat joker role he plays. Not good for serious role. Why did director cast him for this role. He is one of the worat actor in malayalam film industry. I wonder how he became an actor in first place?

Other than Suraj, the plot moves in a slow pace. The story is loose at some place.there is no logic used in it.

Other actors were good and to the point.

If Suraj was removed or casted any other actor, may be the film will get a better reaponse.

Final verdict: avoid the film. Watch it only once, that too if you dont have any otger option left.

Forensic and police investigation nicely combined by the debut director. All characters are fine in their given screen space.

Noticed the first half background music is a lagging but picked up very nicely after the interval.

Many thrillers are coming out nowadays with the same trend of mystery solving that it has become a little dull to watch. And Heaven, very sadly, fell into this category

DELICIOUS

-The colorist saved the day😃 Such a meticulous job in defining the greenery and different environments of the movie; our attention was captured!

-Vinod Illampally moved the camera gracefully, concentrating on the characters and set design. The lens was guiding our eyes to the specific detail to look at

BLAND

-The storytelling was a bit confusing as it contained many unnecessary elements that didn't affect the plot, e.g. The fact that the little girl Tina had to be an orphan and the scenes in the orphanage.

Heaven is about 95% flashback scenes that we totally forgot where the movie even started from

-What happened to Sudev Nair and Nimisha Sajayan? 😱 One of the reasons for watching Heaven was to see these amazing faces, but they were only allocated few seconds

-The fight sequences were a little cheesy 😕

-With a title like Heaven, you really expect 'heavenly' circumstances to happen. The film was rather quiet and didn't explain why this name was required.

Hence, another title wouldn't have made much difference.

A decent storyline with an Impressive screenplay makes this movie a wonderful thrilling experience. Mind-blowing performance by Suraj Venjaramoodu. Awesome film! Must watch.
