Storyline

Based on history this fiction tells the story of Pierre Surette and his fellow men during the great upheaval and seven year war that began in 1755, Fort Beausejour is seized by British forces and renamed Fort Cumberland. Incarcerated in this fort are French neutrals (Acadians) who by religious obligation, were charged to defend the fort alongside the French.
