  • Human rights lawyer Richard Warner is burned to death in his living room and on his charred corpse Eve finds the DNA of Joseph Marial,his former client,deported back to Sudan after being found guilty of robbery,who has illegally reentered Britain. Rosa believes Mariel was innocent,convicted because the court disliked Warner's cavalier style,but Warner's cash-strapped son Nick,who also visited his father before he died,accuses the Sudanese of murder. Eve discovers that the dead man was suffering from the onset of dementia and has cause to wonder if his death was not an act of revenge but a mercy killing inspired by love.—don @ minifie-1
  • Dr. Eve Lockhart and the body farm team investigation the death of a well-known barrister, Richard Warner, who was found in a chair in his study and set on fire. The autopsy reveals there is no smoke in his lungs meaning that he died before being set on fire. DNA testing reveals that Joseph Marial, a former client who was convicted and deported to Sudan was present at the time Warner was set alight. The investigation goes off in a different direction however when they determine that Warner suffered from vascular dementia which opens up several possible solutions to the crime.—garykmcd
