- Superman is rendered powerless by Ally's attack, and the others rally as the two Earths merge.
- A weary Lois holds vigil at Superman's bedside; Jonathan and Jordan continue to worry about their father, who seems more human now than ever; John Henry and Natalie work together to figure out the best way to defend against Ally Allston's powers.
- Clark lies in his hospital room and Lois sleeps at his die. When Clark wakes up, he calls to Lois. She wakes up and goes to her husband, taking his hand and stroking his face.
At the Kent farm, Jordan and Jon sit at the kitchen table. Joran hears their parents coming, and they go out to greet them. Clark says that he needs to sit down and Lois tells their sons that their father will be okay. When Clark collapses on the porch, his family goes him and he says that he's not getting better. Lois tells him to go easy on himself, but Clark says that the sun isn't recharging him and something is wrong. He needs to see Lara at the Fortress, and needs Jordan to take him there. Jordan worries that he doesn't have enough control, and doesn't know if he can do it. Lois says that Jordan doesn't have to and they can ask John.
At the garage, Nat points out that Ally was able to drain his power's suit, and figures they need to find a way to protect it against Ally. Clark comes by and thanks Nat for saving his life, and says that he wants John to take him to the Fortress.
At the Cushing house, Lana finds Sarah sitting in the kitchen, not ready for school. Lana tells her daughter to get dressed. Sarah goes to get dressed, and Ally's image appears on the TV. The Cushings gather and watch.
Chrissy is at the Gazette working. Lois comes in and says that it looks like Superman will be okay, but doesn't have all the tails. Chrissy figures that Ally won't stop until she merges the people on the two worlds, and thinks they should warn people. Lois warns that they don't want to create a panic, but Chrissy says that it's not their job to curate the news, and instead report what they know. Her computer glitches, and reversed text from the other world appears.
John takes Clark to the Fortress, and Lara tells Clark that his cells have been altered by whatever Ally did to him. Until Clark's cells heal, he will remain powerless. Lara says that his cells need time to adjust and Clark points out that he didn't develop powers until he was 4. The hologram starts to say there is a way to speed up the process, but Clark could die. Lara flickers, and John directs Clark's attention outside. Across the world, the alternate Earth appears along with its red sun.
Sam joins his family at the farm, and tells Lois that the satellite data is inconclusive. Lois figures that Ally is using Clark's energy to merge the worlds. Clark and John arrive, they all go inside, and Clark tells the others that his powers might not come back for weeks or months if not longer, and there's nothing Lara can do. John plans to go up in to the stratosphere to analyze the red sun. Chrissy texts Lois to tell her that she's going to meet with Lana to go public with everything she knows. Lois agrees with Chrissy, but Sam disagrees and tells Lois to shut Chrissy down. After Sam leaves, Lois tells Jon and Jordan that they should stick together, and Jordan should listen for anything important. Clark tells Lois that the world needs his help, and he's worried that he's taking a "sick leave". Lois tells him that they need to find another way: fast.
The DoD put out a cover story that a perihelion is causing the red sun. Kyle is at the diner watching the newscasts, and his co-workers don't believe it. Lana and the girls come in, and Kyle asks Lana what's going on. She admits that she doesn't know and asks him to stay with their daughters while she makes some calls. When the other firemen ask Lana is she knows anything, she says that she doesn't and is heading to the office. Kyle tells Lana that it's always been her that got their family through tough things, and Lana asks Kyle to get his team at the school where she's going to hold a town hall later. Chrissy calls Lana and asks to meet with her at the mayor's office, and Lana tells her that she's on her way.
John and Nat fly into the stratosphere, and confirm that the red sun has is phasing into the world. After signing off, Sam tells Clark that what's happening isn't on him, and Ally can only do it because Clark saved Sam. Clark agrees and goes outside.
At the mayor's office, Chrissy tells Lana that the cover story isn't true. Lois comes and tells Lana the truth of what's happening. Chrissy says that there's nothing Superman can do, and Lois explains that Ally took Superman's powers and he can't help them. Lana wonders if Lois wants her to help with the cover story, and Lois tells Lana that there have been times in her past when she withheld facts to protect people. Now she's telling Lana, and it's up to Lana what she does with it.
Jon and Jordan watch Clark as he sits in the yard trying to recharge. Lana Rhoflies down, and Jordan pulls Clark out of her way when he hears her coming. She knocks Jordan aside, and Clark yells at Lana Rho to take him instead. John and Nat arrive, and Lana Rho flies off in the face of superior numbers. They go back into the house, and Sm has calculated that they have less than 12 hours until the worlds merge. Everything will merge, and people who merge will essentially "die'. John says that there's an energy flow coming from the Shuster mines, and Clark figures that Ally is between the two worlds, using his power to merge the worlds together. John and Nat prepare to go there to stop Ally, and John tells Clark that they've got it.
Kyle comes into Lana's office and he says that he thought they should talk. Lana asks him if he thinks it's better to know when something is bad is coming, or live in ignorance. Kyle doesn't know, but says that most people can handle the truth but it's being the one deciding whether the truth should go out. Lana asks him if that's why he didn't tell her about Tonya, and Kyle says that he couldn't bring himself to tell her. When she points out that he must have known she would find out eventually, Kyle tells her that people eventually find out, and someone has to be brave enough to tell them the truth when it matters. He didn't, but figures Lana will. She assures him that his advice, and asks him to bring in Sarah and Sophie so she can tell them the truth before the town hall.
Lois returns home when she hears about what happened, and her sons assure her that things are fine. Jon bemoans the fact he doesn't have powers, and Jordan says that having powers makes thing worse. He wonders what they will do if Lana Rho comes back. Lois tells Clark that people in town are scared, and wonders how he can keep people safe. His wife tells him that he's more than his powers, and people look to him for help. Clark inspires her and their sons every day, because of his heart and not his powers. She tells him to be Superman.
At the town hall, Lana tells the townspeople about the merging and wants the townspeople to be prepared for what's coming. She says that there's something that wants to combine the worlds, and soon everyone will start to see doppelgangers. Chrissy says that Lana is telling the truth, but ex-mayor George asks why Chrissy hasn't published the news in the newspapers. Lana says she asked Chrissy not to so she could tell the townspeople first, and George suggests that Lana and Chrissy are in cahoots. George says that the job of saving lives is up to Superman, not Lana, and the townspeople figure Superman will save them. Lana says that Superman has lost his powers, and George tells everyone that Land doesn't real answers and they need answers from someone they can trust.
Superman comes in, and Jon and Jordan lead Sarah aside and say that Lana has been investigating it for months. Sarah realizes that Jordan has known about it for months. Meanwhile, Superman tells the townspeople that he's come there to reassure them that Lana is telling them the truth, but all isn't lost. A year ago he saw how the townspeople worked together against the Kryptonian invasion, and Lana is there to help them, not to serve her own interests. Lana tells everyone to go home and beware of anyone who doesn't seem like themselves, and they will get through it together.
At the garage, John safeguards Nat's suit and tells her he's going to confront Ally alone, and she should protect the Kents. He tells her that her suit will unlock in ten minutes, dons his suit, and flies off. Nat racks John into the mines and sees him go through the portal.
In the parking lot, Kyle tells Lana that she played it right and she looked like a mayor. Lana suggests that they should meet at home, and Kyle takes Sophie back while Lana looks for Sarah. The bizarro Jon and Lana Rho land behind Lana and go inside to get her.
Nat stays in contact with her father, who looks for Ally in the void between portals. He finds her and figures they don't have much time.
In the school hallway, Jordan tells Sarah the full story, and she wonders why he didn't tell her earlier. He says that he wanted to, but it wasn't always his decisions. Sarah says that she can handle it, just as Lana find them and tells Sarah that they have to get home. Lana Rho -Lana arrives and Jordan tells Sarah and Lana to run, then slams into Lana Rho.
The bizarre on goes into the gym where Superman, Lois, Jon, and Sam are. Superman says that bizarre -Jon isn't going to hurt his family, and bizarre Jon points out that Superman doesn't have any powers and can't stop him. Lois and Sam tell bizarre Jon that he doesn't have to do it, and bizarre Jon says that soon they will all be Superman, who might be dead since his counterpart is. With that, bizarro Jon slams into Superman, knocking him to the floor.
John fires missiles at Ally, but she absorbs the blast and knocks John back.
Bizarro John tells Superman to put up a fight. When Sam goes for his gun, bizarre Jon uses his ice-vision on it, then grabs Superman by the throat. He says that they've already lost.
Lana Rho slams Jordan back, and Jordan hears bizarre Jon attacking his family. He slams her into the gym, then redirects her ice-vision into bizarre -Jon, stunning him. Jordan throws Lana Rho aside, then uses his heat-vision to counter a recovered bizarro Jon's ice-vision.
Nat can't raise John. Hedy reports that Nat's suit is unlocked, and the AI has identified a superhuman attack in their vicinity.
Lana Rho recovers, and she and bizarre Jon double-team Jordan. An armored Nat arrives with her kinetic hammer and hits bizarre Jon, then throws her hammer at Lana Rho. Lana Rho dodges it, and Jordan grabs it and hits Lana Rho, knocking her out.
In the aftermath, the DoD takes away the two alters. Sam wants to get Clark to a secure location, but Clark says they're going to follow Lana's advice to go home and be with their loved ones. His father-in-law goes to the DoD headquarters to call the shots there, and Clark tells Jordan that he did good. Jordan uses his super-hearing to find Nat at the farmhouse, where she's trying to contact her father on her laptop. Clark says that it's the second time has saved his life, and she says that it's the end of the world and she's with them again. Lois tells her that Nast can stay with them, and assures John that he's a hero and is still alive, fighting for them. Lois and the crying Nat hug.
An unconscious John floats through the void.
Lana takes Sarah home, and Sarah realizes that Lana knew Jordan had powers. She blames Lana for not telling her, and says that she wouldn't have broken up with Jordan if she had known, and says that Lana should have told her. Sarah goes into the house and Lana follows her and says that she has to promise not tell anyone what she knows. The house and the world flickers as the two worlds merge. Kyle disappears.
The Kents discover that their house has become the house from the other Earth.
In the void, Ally smiles in triumph.
