El Fin, a great study on the end of the world

I got the pleasure to attend a screening of this film at the Zoom Film Festival in Tunja, Colombia. At first I didn't had any expectations, I read about the film being a ¨Comedy about the end of the world¨. The movie starts with the main Character Nico, a depressed young guy suffering from the recent death of his parents. Then there's Carlos, he has a terminal disease and is happy. Together they go on this last trip looking for the people they love and to experience the things they didn't do before.

The movie is very organic, nothing looks forced, even thought, there's some things that are a little absurd. They come and play out nicely and fun. It's a small movie, but it has a great heart. I stayed for the QandA with the director and he said that he wanted to make a movie about ¨us¨, not the nasa people, not the scientists trying to save the world. How would we deal with the last day on earth. And he achieved it in a great way.

I think, Miguel Gomez, knows what the audience want.

El Fin's page on Facebook has more than 11,000 fans, and people keep talking good things about the movie. I don't understand how the IMDb page has this low ratings. Weird.
