Well I guess now we know what killed him.. Nah, not really, I love this dirty little ditty of a gem! I find it hilarious and a lot of fun. And I personally don't find it to be in bad taste, it's definitely very crude, but I believe at its heart, despite some of the more smutty and downright vulgar lyrics, not to mention the performance and facial expressions of the kooky miss Bloom, it's basically a well-intentioned and sweet enough tribute to the author of the title who has since passed on, but from what I hear, was reportedly shown this by a friend when he was ninety years of age. I sure hoped he liked it! I have read tons of short stories in my time, but I don't think I've read that many that were wrote by Ray Bradbury, so I'm sure I don't get all the references to his work in this short. And I know it's not sci-fi, but if the masterful storytelling of "The Beast From 20'000 Fathoms" is anything to go by, I'd say proclaiming him "the greatest sci-fi writer in history" wouldn't be that long of a shot! It's a cute and very upbeat song, I find the chorus to be very positive and uplifting, in a crazy kind of way. It was way more catchier than I was expecting. I don't know why exactly, but my favourite line from the song is:"I'll feed you grapes and dandelion wine..." And the next part..hm, not so much! Unless you're a complete stiff this is sure to put a smile on your face. Good, funny-ass internet s**t!!!

"Fuck Me, Ray Bradbury" is a short film from 5 years ago that runs not even three minutes, but it also shows that it's not necessary for a film to be long to in order to be good. This is Emmy nominee's Rachel Bloom's tribute to famous science fiction writer Ray Bradbury and it's pretty vulgar, so probably not recommend to older, distinguished fans of Bradbury. But it was for me. The tune is extremely catchy, there are some smart inclusions of Bradbury's achievements. I wonder what he thought about this one as he was still alive when this was made and if he even heard about it. Anyway, Bloom also wrote the script and I cannot say I am familiar with the other writer or director here. Still, both did a great job here just like Bloom. Highly recommended pop music video spoof. And maybe an approach like this may exactly be the right idea to get more people of the current generation into reading again. Thumbs up.
