When Damon and Sage are talking while waiting on Rebekah to arrive, Damon says that Finn "strung you along for 900 years, didn't bother to call." In an earlier episode, Elijah says that Finn has been locked in a coffin, for over 900 years. So Finn couldn't have strung anyone along and certainly wasn't able to "call" considering he was dead with a dagger in his heart.
