Realistic Pagan Movie
wappelqu12 February 2012
Dark of Moon is a romantic comedy about an eclectic coven. Something about this movie portraying a realistic pagan scene makes it really special. A lady I watched it with described it as being better than Avatar! That's a bit too generous but I understand her enthusiasm. Dark of Moon meant that much to me too. This is an important film in the genre. This is some of the first "paint" ever put anywhere of realistic pagan fiction. We see pagans as pagans really live, magic as magic really works, no frills, no nonsense, no crappy supernatural fake Hollywood version of paganism. There is of course stylized dialogue and characters. None the less an amazing film because of what it stands for. Get out your athame, draw a circle, and adore the spirit of Her! And watch the movie too.

Be aware: There is a lot of cursing and sexual language; this is a low budget independent film with some of the rough edges you might expect.
