Xmastravaganza!

Tuning in for the QUIZarenaLIVE Xmastravaganza was always going to spectacular.

Just like with the Halloween special, Richard Lovegrove and Rhiannon Elizabeth Irons teamed up with Cameron Dunn and Woody's Here for an online escape room. This time they were off to the North Pole to help a scientist find a missing person.

I have also done this online escape room and we failed in getting out because we couldn't do the math. Watching Rhiannon breeze through the equations with ease was awe inspiring. She is anything but a dumb blonde.

Richard, Cameron, and Woody flexed their muscles in other areas of the escape room, helping to solve other clues. Again, overthinking played a big part in the show, but it was all in the name of showmanship.

Once the escape room ended, Richard turned his attention back to trivia. Armed with 5 questions written by Rhiannon, he began quizzing not only the other guests, but also the viewers. The subject: QUIZarenaLIVE. Hope you had been paying attention to past episodes.

The final tournament which is usually 10 multiple choice questions was ramped up to 15 with Rhiannon hunting through past shows from all of season 1 and part of season 2 for some fun facts.

I tune into the show for the guests and how well they get along. Cameron and Rhiannon had competed against each other once before while Woody had appeared on a separate episode. If you didn't know any better, you would think they had been friends for years. And I wasn't disappointed in the jesting from each of the guests. Although we did see more of Woody than we were expecting.

I was roaring with laughter over the off-colour jokes, adult humour, and ribbing.

This was my first special event I got to see and I loved every minute of it. I hope they do another virtual escape room at the end of season 2 because it's going to be must-see TV!

Festive Fun

Just before Christmas, QUIZarenaLIVE host, Richard Lovegrove, and veteran QUIZarenaLIVE guest star, Rhiannon Elizabeth Irons, called on past guests of his show to take on a new escape room adventure.

Teaming up with Cameron Dunn and Michael Woodbridge (Woody's Here), they packed their bags ready for Expedition North Pole.

The escape room was entertaining as they struggled with puzzles and code cracking with each member of the team contributing to the event. I personally loved watching Rhiannon Elizabeth Irons claim she wasn't smart only for her to turn around in the next breath and solve a mathematical algorithm with ease.

After the escape room was finished, they turned their attention to trivia with 20 questions all about past episodes of QUIZarenaLIVE. The first 5 questions were asked by Richard Lovegrove as they all joked around and went off on tangents. The final quiz had 15 questions, with some of the questions leaving the guests and viewers in hysterics.

As much as I love Escaping Halloween (The Underground Murder), I think I enjoyed the festivities of Expedition North Pole more. A hilarious viewing experience.

Christmas Joy: Expedition North Pole

After the success of Escaping Halloween, QUIZarenaLIVE returned to celebrate Christmas 2021 with another online escape room.

Just like with the Halloween special, host Richard Lovegrove called upon past guests of the show to join in the fun and frivolity. Also returning from Escaping Halloween was Rhiannon Elizabeth Irons.

They were joined by makeup effects guru Cameron Dunn and actor/writer Michael "Woody's Here" Woodbridge as they packed their bags and headed to the North Pole to track down a missing scientist.

The show followed the same formula of the Halloween special, with the escape room the main focus. It also included a quiz with the trivia being from all past episodes. This had hilarious results.

Xmastravaganza proved to be a success. The team worked well together, bouncing off each other with ideas. Once the escape room had finished, they really let their hair down, showing the fun side of QUIZarenaLIVE audiences had come to know and love.

Xmas Extravaganza

A global pandemic won't stop QUIZarenaLIVE from celebrating Christmas in their own way. Host, Richard Lovegrove teams up with Cameron Dunn, Woody's Here, and reigning season 1 champion, Rhiannon Elizabeth Irons, for an online escape room.

The escape room was the main focus of the special event, however it wasn't the only event to take place. Rhiannon spent some time watching the show from start to finish, penning a list of questions about the previous episodes. These would make up the final tournament and provided a lot of the laughs for the night.

The team dynamic is what draws you in. Richard and Rhiannon would go on to co-host the show together eventually, as well as a spin-off titled Under The Covers. Cameron would be a reoccurring guest and Woody, despite having made one appearance only, brought the humor.

Highly entertaining viewing pleasure.
