- Beginning of the journey at the Ballon d'Alsace: Jérôme meets there Christophe Lerouge and they have a paragliding flight over the mountains and the forests. Later Jérôe travels to the Hotel 48 Nord where he is received by Emil Leroy-Jönsson: instead of a great building there are wooden cabins (with the shape of trees) with many windows: also the hotel manages an organic garden.Emil invites Jérôme to visit the Nusbaumer distillery: Nicolas Lombach ,the owner of the distillery explains that they produce in his copper alembics traditional liquors (pear, mirabelle, raspberries) and also elderberry , mountain ash liquors and gin ( juniper bay and coriander) using mountain water.After that Emil and Jérôme meet Frédéric Metzger, the chef of the restaurant of the hotel picking sorrel and field mushrooms.In the kitchen Frédéric prepares for them beef meat marinated in gin and sorrel. On the next day Emil and Jérôme take the bike path (La Voie du Porte Bonheur), Emil his landscaper has participated in the design of this bike path.They visit later the Castle of Lutzelbourg where they meet a team of students of Archaeology: the association who cared of this castle has 120 members: Julie Prévost and Dorian Roche explains them the last archaeological works and the young Théo, 14 years old boy is happy to participate in these works because he is fond of history. On the next day Jérôme travels to the inn of Schnepfenried near Mittlach: he meets there Marie-Eve Deybach, the cook, her son Adrien who takes care for the Vosgien cows, then Yves Deybach, the cheese maker who produce Munster cheese: finally they have a great supper with the "Tourte du Chef" and a typical dish of potatoes.Then Jérôe travels to Plombières-les-Bains , a thermal resort visited by Napoléon III and he is received by by Lydie Barbaux, the mayor of town in the Thermes Napoléon.They walked through the town looking at the balconies and arrive at the "Buvette thermale" where they taste hot spring water.Later they visit the terraced gardens: Guy Mansuy explains that 12 persons in "insertion sociale" and 60 volunteers hare taking care for the gardens: they taste a marmalade of dandelion flowers. After that Lydie and Jérôme walk on a snowy path and reach the "Théâtre du Peuple", a huge 120 years old theater: Simon Deletang explains them the story of the theater founded by a rich sponsor whose wife was fond of theater.Later Jérôme travels with Cristophe Lerouge to the Bol d'Air, a vacation center with cabins in middle of the forest: Laurent Régis, the manager of the center receives them and later they meet Laurent Mougel and have a zip line trip ( 1.350 meters) through the the forests of the area.
