UCOS re-opens a case from 2001 previously judged to have been an accidental death but after being reviewed by a new pathologist, is believed to have been the results of a blow to the head. Bernard Fletcher worked at the Natural History museum and it was the view of Dr. Ruxton, now facing charges of incompetence, that he died from a fall. His body was cremated and there are now only the x-rays to go by. Fletcher was a senior paleontologist and was found by a porter soon after a dinner, hosted by Mondial Fuel Corporation, held at the museum. According to his wife, Fletcher had very strong views and believed that industrial society is destroying the planet. It seems he had gotten into an argument with his colleagues at the dinner. According to the porter who found him, Barry Drake, Fletcher was quite a ladies man and had affairs with a great many ladies, including Marie Braden who still works at the museum. His interest in micro-fossils is at the root of it all, however.
