Interesting and weird

This is one of the show's better episodes, but it is too late for any tensions or developments to suddenly be satisfying. Joey's action to stand up to Jack is not in his heart. We are finally getting close to some answers and resolutions concerning Jack's plans for Brightside, but I'm ready for everything to come crumbling around Jack Billings. When will he learn that sincerity will save more people over false hope? Shirley walks out on Jack after he admits to having scammed everyone. Meanwhile, a rocket makes its way to Walter's launching grounds, where customers of Brightside see it in the sky. When Herb and Betty claim it is one of Brightside's own, the people start to wonder if Brightside was telling the truth. They all make their way to Walt's place to see it land. Buck and Joey both see a rocket, believing it to be the Gargon mothership. Buck makes his way to the launch pad with Jack on his heels, while Joey makes his way to the office. Shirley advises Joey not to get caught up in Jack's schemes, as he is his father. She then explains why Jack cares about Joey so much: he is his father. Eddie and Shirley find each other and leave Brightside together. Jack follows Buck to the launching pad, where they stand in the path of the rocket. When they get to safety, they are greeted by Herb and a gaggle of customers who are awed at Buck's apparent return from the moon. Jack plants the idea in Walter's mind of actually working for Brightside, as the rockets he's been launching have been for cargo transportation reasons. He tries to convince Walt that he could be happier doing more important things. Joey is fed up with Jack's lies and learns of an even bigger one from Shirley. Jack has disappointed those close to him, yet he keeps going. To see him get a win on this episode leaves a sour taste, as he achieves it through more lies. Buck (Frankie Faison) is deceived by his clients, who are honest and hardworking people, and is incinerated by a rocket. Myrtle rethinks her relationship with Lester, leading to a fizzle in their relationship. This is a downer moment in an episode full of them. Jack and Buck are selling customers extensions to their existing plans without any shame. Jack returns and tells Buck how he saved others as a sheriff, which messed up his memory. The customers look at the rocket in awe, and Myrtle regrets spending so much time trying to see how it was a lie. Walt gets angry at Jack for his actions, but Jack still tries to take him to his side. Walt does not budge by his cheap salesmanship techniques.
