A 3 minute wonder indeed.

"Westi" is a different kind of tale about the issue of bullying. In most of bullying-related stories, the abuse victim tend to be small and fragile. In this animation, however, the bullied kid is shown to be taller than the other children of his same age, and that causes him to be mistreated by the others, including the adults in one scene when he accidentally hits another boy in one party while dancing.

With a very simple (but well made) animation style, and in only 3 minutes, "Westi" manages to be an interesting and heartwarming tale about the hardships of growing up while being considered "different" to everyone else, showing how any person could be a victim of bullying disregard of the circumstances. It also has a good message of optimism at the end, which indicates how (despite all the difficulties) someone could overcome all the mistreatment to find happiness and the acceptance of others.
