1-joke porn remade as "Little Often Annie"
Re-watching assembly-line porn can be a good memory jog: having recently reviewed the Desiree Lane vehicle LITTLE OFTEN ANNIE caused me to be surprised to see exactly the same movie made 15 years earlier as HERE KITTY!.
This time the cute gamine Tricia Opal stars as Meryl, whose white pussycat named Desmond escapes, leading our heroine to search the neighborhood for her beloved pet. "I've got to find my pussy" is the line of dialog that completely sums up both movies, and probably dates back to a burlesque sketch from a hundred years ago.
Opal is a good sport when thrust into instant sexual encounters, though the improvised dialog generally fails to make a good case for her to succumb so easily., She puts up a bit of a fight when a domineering sketch artist insists she join other models in not merely posing but also humping.
Early porn films often were mere extensions of the 1-reel stag films that preceded them, and the padding of this repetitious premise is wearying. Fortunately Opal is an attractive and uninhibited performer capable of holding the viewer's interest, as did Lane in the unauthorized remake.
