Watched this low budget little beauty and couple of nights ago. Tries for the 70's grindhouse style and almost succeeds. Is it bad? Of course it is. What else would you expect going into it? Very few grindhouse were technically good movies. So sit back and let the badness sweep you away. It's only one lost hour that you'll never forget no matter how hard you try.
Tomato Man caught in on the right night. If i were in the wrong state of mind I would have probably tossed this in the " never to be watched again" pile. As it is, I will most likely revisit this a few more times. Not to mention foisting Tomato Man on a few unsuspecting friends. That, my friends, is one of the joys of being a "bad movie connoisseur". Is 9 a little high for this type on film? I can only say that I really enjoyed it.The acting was atrociously funny and/or annoying. The camera work was okay (and that's being generous). The terrible music actually fit the mood of the film. Matthew Enstrom, evidently the mastermind behind Tomato Man, has directed a couple other films that I will check out if I can locate copies.Hopefully this isn't the last we hear from him.
