Immediately after Eric pets the bear, a close-up shot shows him standing and turning to his left, supposedly watching the bear pass by, but the following long-shot shows Eric's back to the camera watching the bear as it passes him by on his right side. Unless he spun fully around and allowed the bear to walk behind him between cuts, he should be facing the camera.
When Eric tries to touch the bear, the arm shown on camera clearly belongs to a man much older than him.
